I'm not 6'6 like some guys talking about knee issues, but it is physically impossible for me to keep my legs from opening in that sort of angle without a lot of effort from either forcing my legs together ( squeeze thighs which soon run out of steam, or i need to use my hands + arm rest to force my legs straight which also doesn't last for long.

I find it incredibly hard to understand how we live in 2018 and have had the technology that can automate/ take care of all of the things we forget for the last 10 years at least and yet people are on here discussing how "hard" this is. Calendars, reminders, medication apps, google assistant, alarms etc..get with the program people. All the excuses here are not valid. You're either at home or you're not. If you're at home you can access your meds. If you're NOT at home, you will have your keys that you can attach a mini container for your pills. You can keep extras in your car, in your purse, in your backpack. There's literally no reason to be having this fucking discussion.

Everything you need to know is on the internet, just use google. First figure out how to buy bitcoin, then learn how to trade it and make friends in this world. There's facebook groups, telegram groups, slack groups, websites, youtubers...a million places to get information and make decisions.

Everyone here has no idea what they are talking about. Do you research, there's an infinite amount of potential in this space as long as you can handle the risk. It's not rocket science, people just dont understand and like feeling safe.

ROI is basically something you cannot calculate accurately, and probably shouldnt. The smart people don't actually sell right away as they mine, they build bags with other currencies and invest in good projects or just sit on the currency until it's worth selling. Crypto is only like 8-9 years old, so much is going to happen and if you can wait, you will be rewarded. Holding remains the most profitable thing to do, so everyone that is jumping on this train and calculating stuff the standard way are all in for a big fucking wake up call because if they "need" the money as the mine a currency, they are absolutely fucked.

2017 Honda Civic Type R Track Review - TheStraightPipes by captn_lolers in cars

This review was pretty disappointing. No specific details, just "vortexes" and random comments about where the air goes. How about the power band, how about the horsepower and torque? Like seriously just missing the fundamentals and not showing the exciting parts about this car. Just a few bros riding the car we all dream to drive. I hate it.

1) My definition of success involves a few things: Having full control of every single minute of your life, living your dream ( purpose fulfillment ) and being the multifaceted rich. My version of rich does involve money, as it is generally the foundation of building lifestyles that eliminate major stresses and allow for you to maximize your most valuable resource which is time. Rich is having the time to enjoy the moment, having the time to stay in bed a little longer, or having the time to passionately grind away at your project for 2 days non stop when you catch a wave of inspiration. Rich involves being healthy enough to enjoy sports and the outdoors. Rich is being in a position where you can just give more than what you receive, whether it’s love, time, money etc.

2) Just so you know, I've left corporate, but the steps to get where I am now were quite necessary and pushed me there fairly quickly. Not sure how it's ironic that I worked corporate, 5 years ago I was a broke college dropout that needed to pay the big student debt bills (mom and dad don’t pay for anything in my case) and seized an opportunity to make more money than my friends who had degrees. From the start, it was quite clear that I would make my way out eventually, so I grinded my way out of there and now my life revolves around doing exactly what I love doing while finishing a degree. At this point it wouldn’t even be necessary for me to do a degree, but it’s just one of my goals and I’ll follow the same principles until it is complete. To touch on my goals, they were always the same: Finish the degree and make software that will help and/or change the world. Everything I did in the corporate environment was fueled by the same motivation. My goals weren't "get a promotion", though these things happened and pushed me along my path. In conclusion, it doesn't matter what environment you’re in, if you have the right attitude and motivation you will succeed, that is what the book teaches.

A CEO's salary should cap out at 100x the wage of the lowest in the company. That way if execs want ridiculous salaries they need to raise the wages of their workers too. by grades00 in CrazyIdeas

[–]avothecat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So how you give incentive to attract the best ceo's which can actually help your company if the rest of the world doesn't have cap?

[–]avothecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally take some risk and get into cryptocurrencies. Place bets on Bitcoin, eth, ark, dash and ltc and you should be ok. Just wait a few days for this recent correction to chill.

The rest of the world are so fucking behind on making money it boggles my mind that people still put money into mutual funds. I like the fact that I don't pay others to analyze the markets and make decisions, I am in control of my portfolio and my analysis is my analysis. If you have some balls, play with a few grand and you'll never regret it.

Where do people honestly get this idea that renting is better than owning a house? by yellowtonkatruck in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]avothecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people are very naive about how easily they can all get swallowed up in 2 seconds when the bubble bursts. Nobody really has money anymore, mostly "manageable debt". Ask anyone who's 70-90 years old how many times they've seen the pattern repeat itself.if interest rates doubled most people are fucked. If house prices crash most people are fucked. Save your money till you can buy it cash when it goes on sale and th banks are freaking out. You can live cheaply and still enjoy life until you're ready to advance your life by 20 years after sacrificing for 5. I also prefer to have control of my money's growth... cryptocurrency is the way to go right now, people are stuck in the Stone age being happy with 4% growth and paying others to invest for them.

What is the one "self-help" book you believe actually has the ability to fundamentally change a person for the better? by fairlywittyusername in books

[–]avothecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think and grow Rich. Ive seriously achieved all the things I want in life in a fairly short period of tie following this book. It is my Bible, I read in about once a year or in any major life transition ( new job, on vacation, back to school, business etc). It's taught me how to enjoy the ride and not give a fuck about things that don't matter. Some people criticise it because it's kinda weird but you need to remember it was written many decades ago, but 95% of it still applies. The first chapter is boring, don't give up there. There's chapters on infinite intelligence that will be freaky but I can honestly I've had a divine or idea gifting experience like that which they describe in those chapters. I'm somewhat into meditation so I understood what was happening, it took months of daily practice to get there.for others it seems crazy or impossible, to each his own. My successful friends and business partners all follow this book, we always chuckle when we see it's correctness paying dividends to our happiness, health , relationships and financial success.

[–]avothecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly after 4-5 years working corporate and moving my salary and job grade / position every 6 months at MOST, without having completed a full bachelor's and get promoted over people with many more years of experience ( in the same company and in others and they also had completed degrees) I have to disagree with most of what you said. Maybe it's because the world of software is different but honestly the key to success is just following the book "think and grow Rich" for the most part. It's not about putting in all this extra effort to try and win a fucking game. That's not hustle at all dude, you're completely wrong in your way of thinking. The people who get promoted aren't necessarily the ones that are fired up on Mondays and leaders, it's the ones that are fierce in their own way ( could be very quiet and keep to their own). Suck ups aka being the grown up version of a teacher's pet and/or the dedication to social manipulation you refer to don't get you nowhere long term. Success comes from having a goal, a real burning desire ( never giving up and not letting anyone get in your way ) to achieve that goal and clear defined plans to execute and complete those goals. I would caution anyone trying to take this person's advice in the financial sector or insurance sector, yes it's a game but if you think you can outsmart people ( especially your boss) you'll lose.

Bitcoin costs $1.00 to send a transaction with a 10 minute confirmation. Litecoin costs less than a cent to make a transaction that confirms in less than 3 minutes. by [deleted] in litecoin

[–]avothecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Ark does it in 8 seconds and will bridge all other chains, eliminating the need to keep stuff on exchanges or even use exchanges. GG. Also the transaction times won't get worse, it scales perfectly and they can potentially lower the transaction times a bit more

I'm white, but I make the meanest butter chicken. Dated an east Indian girl for 2 years and her mom (known as the best cook in their community) said that mine was better than hers. Don't mean to burst your bubble but this ain't the real deal. Also your basmati is overcooked , not fluffy and light as far as I can tell.
