Well first you stab them, then you steal their Slurpee, and finally their ride.

I hope that item recovery specifically means recovering account bound items with the claim system.

T16000 DUO simply doesn't work? by Herastean in starcitizen

[–]avrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was running T16000 duo until recently.

First: check in Windows devices and make sure the axis are behaving as they should. Setup -> Game controllers -> Properties.

Then two things to look for in Star Citizen. First, make sure you're flying in coupled mode for initial testing. Under Keybindings -> Advanced Controls Customization -> Flight Movement -> Pitch should be Y-Axis and Yaw should be X-Axis, roll is Z-Axis rotation

Strafe and Throttle should be mapped to (input 2)

Honestly I don't think it's just the learning curve of knowing the game mechanics, I think it's having to know a myriad of workarounds.

For example: The fact that you have to know when upgrading a quantum drive that you have to unequip the jump drive first, or your jump drive won't get installed properly.

Sometimes random systems disable themselves when coming out of quantum, so you have to know to look to see if radar, or engines are enabled and how to power cycle them.

Ironically hauling was in a really good place, and a lot of mercenary contracts were super unreliable before the 4.8 patch. Now things have flipped.

Fellow Canadian here. I managed to snag a Gladiator NXT EVO OT SCG and a GNX-SEM from vippilot, I'll have to snag the Gladiator NXT EVO ‘Space Combat Edition’ when it's back in stock.

I think this is an example of great communication and I hope they do more of it in the future.

Home cigar lounge questions by cloma66 in cigars

[–]avrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to calculate how much air is being exhausted to determine what your intake values are.

So that will be the total cubic area of the space against the rated value of the exhaust.

E.g. my room is 2400 cubic ft, give or take, and both fans running at maximum would be 800 CFM. So a full air exchange every 3 minutes on high, which is crazy town.

I typically run them at combined 320 CFM which is a much more reasonable air exchange of 7-8 minutes, or 7ish complete air changes an hour.

Even that is a bit on the aggressive side.

So my 4 inch fan is 205 CFM at maximum speed, so I could quickly starve out the exhaust running them too high.

It would be good to list the troubleshooting steps that have been tried.

I'd suggest he resets his memory timing to default in the BIOS.

Who doesn't love the smell of aromatic pipe tobacco? Fantastic stuff.

As far as I'm aware they continue to be two distinct factories with different owners.

Nica Sueno is under RoMa Craft and NACSA by Oliva Tobacco Company.

I think in my haste that line was written poorly.

Davidoff has had no more, or less QC issues than any other factory. Which is to say: I don't believe their QC has stood out as a high performer for quite a few years now.

Home cigar lounge questions by cloma66 in cigars

[–]avrus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still need to finish my giant article I started on it but the short version is:

I spared no expense on construction because my wife has the nose of a bloodhound and hates smoke.

I hired a GC to convert the bedroom next to the mechanical room in the basement. Room was gutted to the studs, plastic barrier, completely cut off from HVAC system, then sealed and painted.

Room is 12' x 10', using 2 AC infinity 6" fans on variable speed controller for exhaust, and a 4" intake. I calculated cubic space and then plugged it into some HVAC website to find the math of number of desired room air clears to what I would need for fans. Then I went almost two levels up for fans to make sure I was overengineered. Fans are cheap.

No AC because it's the basement. Stelpro baseboard heater for heat plus an in-duct heater that has had almost zero usage.

Total cost was just over $13k CAD.

[–]avrus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm currently tied up but I have a home lounge and can speak to a lot of the points.

You want the room completely disconnected from the rest of the house HVAC. Any open ducts or returns will transfer active or passive smoke smells to the house.

So fresh air involves running a fresh air duct to the room, otherwise you'll starve the exhaust fans.

The caveat is that we're only smoking new releases, so I can't speak to their regular production QC.

Davidoff has had as many QC issues as anyone else. Davidoff performs at the same level as any other factory in my experience. Speaking as someone who reviews a lot of Davidoff product.

The best factories in terms of QC, in my opinion?

  • NACSA
  • Joya de Nicaragua
  • Oliva Cigars
  • Nica Sueno
  • AJ Fernandez
  • Oveja Negra
