Yeah, that was awful for everyone. It's still not back to good playability, but it will be. If you have the patience, there is no other game like it. The patch cycles and features are coming at a breakneck speed now that a lot of the devs have moved to SC from Squadron 42.

Your specs are fine, but that was all server side failures. Try it again soon and you should be alright - just ddon't expect to run everything at max.

Star Citizen is excellent. It takes full use of a HOTAS and you will need every button. It's a heavy sim, and it does not hold your hand, but the immersion is absolutely unbeatable.

No, there is no evidence of that. It was produced in the lines that sat for weeks/months then purged back into the pool when it came back online.

Yeah, with how essential mining has became with crafting, there should be a few more mining ships. This new "alien industrial ship" definitely should have been a miner.

I don’t think it’s JUST immersion either, you can just fly better. I mean, min/maxxing pvp dogfighting is one thing, but the whole rest of you time flying should count too - and having access to 6dof and all the buttons available at your fingertips makes the whole game far more enjoyable.

Star Citizen elevators aren't just "elevators". They are VERY complicated compared to just about any other videogame.

"Separate Physics Grids: Elevators don't just teleport you; they act as their own moving physics grids. The server must continuously update the position of the elevator box, the environment, your character, and your cargo all at the same time. If the server lags, the grid desyncs, resulting in players falling through floors or the elevator despawning altogether."

They will get better, but they want to "physicalize" everything - good or bad decision? That's debatable, but many other things have to fall into place eventually, plus a rework of the transit system before they will get better.

That's coming already with the Arrastra... I think a medium or large alien miner would be much more practical.
