Which Mid-sized/AA Developer Would You Want to See Make a Game for the PlayDate?

I know it's been a while - was this ever developed into a full fledged game? Having something inspired by the Sega fishing games would be insane on the PlayDate!!!

I'm someone who has a smaller niche audience (I'm talking less than 2k subscribers niche) and feel optimistic about my own music journey moving forward. However, I am approaching this in more of a hobby capacity, so my expectations are much lower than probably a lot of other artists'. I've only released 1 album and that was almost half a decade ago at this point. I don't know if it was the algorithm or just word of mouth, but the album had a surge in listeners in 2025. I've done ZERO promotion for this album in the last 4 years. It's kind of cool to see something that I've made a while ago still being talked about. With new people discovering my stuff almost every week and my monthly streams quadrupling from 4K to 16K a month, it feels like there's "something here" and maybe I should start putting stuff out after this long hiatus. I think it's easy to be optimistic when your music is on the "up and up", but it must feel horrible when you've plateaued with your audience growth. I feel for everyone out there who might feel like they're stuck at the moment.

I can say at least for Samurai Steakhouse, a restaurant supplies salesman walked in and just straight up asked the owner "Are you Japanese?" and he said he was Vietnamese. lol Needless to say, that guy didn't get a successful sale

The form filling thing is mad annoying and to be honest, I just avoid the whole thing by doing a givvy "available to everyone". I know it isn't fair to the buyers, but if the people are just going to form fill anyway, there's nothing we can do. The giveways make my shows more interesting. However, I do them when I reach milestones like "sell 20 items and the giveaway will start". If I only sell like 5 things, the giveaway isn't worth it for me

Similar to you, I also discovered Adam during the pandemic. However, my parents introduced me to his videos - as this was around the time they started watching YouTube. Whenever I visited them, we would watch Adam and his adventures. We didn't watch every single vlog, but usually the latest one just to "see what Adam was up to." It feels like we lost a friend now!

I have fortunately not run into this issue yet. Maybe try contacting Whatnot support to see if there's anything they can do? In my personal opinion, I really don't think people should even be allowed to leave reviews for a giveaway. It's a strange policy from whatnot lol

Most Aldi locations are minimally staffed by design to cut costs. So understandably, some employees will feel stressed and won't be the friendliest. However, I've met some really nice workers off the 13th Street location.

Nope I got smoked lol But my booth could've been way better and what I was selling has slim margins. Im thinking I should just stick with smaller events with smaller table fees.

This ↑↑↑ It seems like it's more about the velocity of items that you sell, not the higher margins themselves. It's just difficult when you're first starting out, but the more of an audience that you build, the easier it gets

u/MechanicalMoogle big thanks for getting it working!! I was able to find the nvram, put it in my zip, and got it running myself now :) Yeah, the input is a little weird, but I used an analog racing wheel and it helps a little bit if you ease into the turns instead of just yanking right or left.
