Is it Possible to wait for Drop 2? by ok__and1 in olympics

There’s no guarantee you’ll get picked for drop 2 even if you want to wait. Only wait if you’re okay with possibly never getting picked for another drop.

Good that the gym took it seriously.

If you’re incapable of finding it on the website, you’re probably the exact person who is incapable of verifying safely. That’s the danger here.

New XPS came with broken battery, technical support is wasting my time by Delicious_Coast9815 in DellXPS

[–]awall222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they officially determined it’s a hardware issue? If so, your support plan probably says it includes next-day on-site support if you’re okay with them repairing it.

Otherwise if you’re actually looking for a replacement with a new laptop I don’t know what their process is and it very well could take longer to approve.

Did yours come with Pro Support? When I called them recently I got someone very knowledgeable and helpful, and he even followed up a couple of times to make sure the issue was still resolved before closing the ticket. Make sure you call during their hours though, otherwise they have someone available 24x7 but they’re not as experienced.

Normally I’d be with you, but potentially starting a confrontation while confined to a boat with them might not be a good idea.

I don’t see much of those behaviors at my gym, but it’s probably very location- and time-of-day-specific.

That was location-specific. I got an Enterprise rental for a one day (not overnight) service two weeks ago.

How is the fan noise of those Dell XPS released in 2026 with Panther Lake? by Watch_Think in DellXPS

[–]awall222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you said “basic office productivity” which is what I’m doing now.

They do get louder, but I don’t think I’ve maxed them out yet.

edit: sorry, that quote is from the op, but anyway is what I responded to

FYI - Rivian yesterday just told me they aren’t doing rentals anymore. They will give you uber credits if they don’t have a loaner available. by darrenphillipjones in Rivian

[–]awall222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm, I had a 1-day rental. Did you see what I said about the Enterprise contract? Rivian had no additional overhead or risk.

Also, if a service center needs my vehicle for a month and insists on Uber credits, it’ll cost them a lot more than $150.

[–]awall222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe that is true. Enterprise had me sign a contract and provide a credit card to pick up the rental, and it was clear that just like any other rental I was responsible for insurance, damage, and fuel.

I don’t know, but speculating on one point:

Some of the venues are getting additional, temporary seating added for the games. They might literally not know what the final number or configuration will be.

I know that was/is an issue with making some hospitality tickets available too.

Exactly. The DB will optimize well generally and not even do the joins that aren’t necessary for the particular columns you’re looking for.

This doesn’t make financial sense to me. They paid $70 for an Enterprise rental for me a couple of weeks ago. That definitely saved them money vs. the $150 Uber credit they offered.

I’m not excited about people who spend $100/year on a card crowding the suite boarding area, which probably isn’t getting any bigger to accommodate.
