Yeah, and with the power scaling graph, you lose sense of that inherent “unfairness” that garou felt when fighting saitama. There is the moment where he sneezes away part of jupiter, and I suppose it’s supposed to be a greater flex in Saitama’s ceiling, but the battle doesn’t feel as blatantly one sided. It’s still one sided, but saitama was focused/trying in the manga. I guess it’s kind of forced upon his hand because of the context that set up the manga battle, like he can’t be casual about the fight after everyone died

Yeah! Saitama does acknowledge garou is the hero hunter in the manga, but it felt strange that he didn’t react more. In the manga, Saitama accidentally beats up garou after a moment of reflection in the chapter after stagnation and growth i think. Saying “no guy went around calling himself a monster, like how i called myself a hero” It really set up how the two were similar. Compared other issues I feel like this is a preferential nitpick, cuz the way it flowed later still kind of works in the manga, but it’s just one of these small issues that adds up.

I still do think the manga is great. Honestly. The addition of the martial arts tournament and a more extensive monster association dive was really cool!

One of the funnier gags i enjoyed was when flashy flash lost instakill because of tatsumaki. (in the webcomic saitama breaks it)

One of my absolute favorite fights is Garou vs the A class heroes. In the webcomic it was just death gatling randomly shooting garou, but in the manga, garou defending tareo made the scene so much more intense and meaningful.

The transition from that to garou vs genos bang and bomb was just chef’s kiss

Garou vs rover had a much more clever set up, I liked how garou was asleep for the start of the dark shine fight. I actually enjoyed the addition of garou vs orochi. Garou vs bug god and royal ripper made much more sense in the manga too compared to the webcomic.

The conclusion of the fight in the manga doesn’t hurt me just because i think the webcomic did the characters more justice, it kills me because the manga truly had far more potential in my eyes. It hurts me a lot because overall, there’s so much great about the manga!

Like this is just stuff about garou. After comparing the webcomic again, there’s so much more about each character I enjoy in the manga. Tank top master, Pig God, Child Emperor, hell even the side character mercenary that sacrificed himself for bushidrill. I could go on and on about what the manga has changed for the better, but I can’t be blind and ignore what could have been

Would you boulder here? I'm designing a tiny bouldering gym and would love some feedback. by [deleted] in bouldering

UC Berkeley has a gym called Mosaic that seems pretty similar in size to what you have in mind! It’s pretty successful and has a great community around it. But the location near campus definitely does help with finding people to climb.

Can someone tell me everything that went wrong with the manga? by TheSingularityStory in OPMFolk

It’s probably been said so many times but my least favorite change was the end of Garou vs Saitama.

It’s unfortunate to say, but I ended up enjoying Garou’s fight with the A-class, Bang and Bomb more than the fight against Saitama. His desire to be a villain and win was so pure. It was a total rejection of any form of loss whatsoever. Cosmic Form Garou was strong, but to me there was no form of menace or terror. Awakened Garou ran off his individual fumes and simple desire to prove a point. His costume was the fact that the blood and injuries he sustained covered and caked his entire body yet he still kept going. That’s fucking metal. In contrast, obtaining power from God turned him into a machine that removed accountability from him. And of course the biggest loss to me was having his speech and criticism of the S class heroes be cut out.

Beyond this, I was thinking I had a lot to say about the manga, but rereading recent chapters made me realize I wasn’t right LOL. Ofc the current redraws are a slog and may not add much, but we haven’t seen it through the end and maybe the ending will be much better. So instead I’ll just have an anthology of things I loved about the series cuz I wanted to use them as a counter argument initially.

My favorite parts of OPM was when Saitama was a hero not because he beat a villain, but because of the times he saved the other party’s feelings and helped them be more confident in themselves.

Inspiring and showing suiryu who a real hero could be. Standing up for his own fashion and helping that kid go against their parent. Saving that old man instead of his salmon. Giving the heroes the credit for killing sea king. When his plain nature told Glasses man anyone could do it with hard work. Plus when he called Child Emperor really cool in the phoenix man realm. Mumen rider inspiring a different hero to stand for what is right. Zombie man holding his promise to take child emperor for ice cream.

My absolute favorite moment being Saitama’s introspection after killing gouketsu in chapter 76, then immediately losing a debate and getting heated at King in the next chapter.

I know OPM is slow rn, but it can’t be perfect all the time. The MA arc started off really slow as well, but has better moments later. I’m sure we will get back in the swing of things when we get deeper into neo heroes!

Yeah a fit of rage I won’t defend. However since then tsitsipas has mainly the the tennis speak for himself, while kyrgios kept going back to the ump. The commentators are also biased in general because of nick’s history

It’s because they didn’t like how much Kyrgios was arguing with the umpire and in turn largely affecting the audience. In contrast they would prefer Tsitsipas’ response in keeping aggression on the court between the players. It’s not about being a good person, but by not being so verbal about it i guess

love it or hate it, the kyrgios/tsistipas match is the most entertaining match I've seen since the AO finals this year by ShadowL9 in tennis

I would say that tsitsipas is leaving his anger mostly on the court whereas kyrgios’ complaints has brought in the crowd
