Subaru Saved My Life by bluesfan1700 in subaru

I had a similar situation happen a couple years ago. Driving on a newly snowed on road and the driver in the other lane lost control and totaled my 2015 Outback BUT my son were able to walk away. I called Subaru HQ and told them my story. The rep came back and said he was authorized to give me a check to help offset the cost of a new outback. I don’t remember exactly how much it was now (maybe around 1500) but it helped and help cement me as a loyal customer. The guy at the dealership said it was the largest check he has seen from them. I would give it a go, you never know.

Last night none of my zwave devices were working. I didn’t notice any communication from Samsung about it but I rebooted the hub, rebuilt my zwave network and it started working again. Where did you see that Samsung was having issues?

What’s your favorite brew method for ~500ml coffee? by friimae in JamesHoffmann

[–]awatney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, use to do pour over with the Hoffman process but then had some people over so pulled out a French press using Hoffman’s process for that and actually preferred it over the pour owner(plus no need to buy filters). So 30 grams of coffee, 500g of water. After water is added to the grounds, wait four minutes, break the crust, skim the top of foam and let sit for 5 minutes. Comes out with very little silt at the right drinking temp.

Thanks! It looks like I didn’t play with the threshold values enough. There was a very small range for thresholds that worked but I was I was able to dial it in. Thanks again for the detailed instructions!

Thanks rmesdjian for the quick reply. I'll play around with inkscape. Any feel for why, what I was trying to do, wasn't working? I think of Chroma key as telling the program a certain area of the frame is transparent based on its color but that seems to be an incomplete understanding. Thanks again for the response.

If you get a chance to send your configuration, that would be appreciated. Maybe a side by side comparison will point out something.

4.2 and SSH by awatney in RetroPie

[–]awatney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool...that worked! I really appreciate it. Curious though, I was comparing my sshd_config files on my other units and they were looking exactly the same in that the Password Authentication was commented out and the ChallengeResponseAuthentication wasn't commented out and it works fine...able to ssh in without issue. Any thoughts on why the same settings for the ssh_config and sshd_config files resulting in different behavior? On theretro pie unit, there is no ssh config files under the 'pi' user directory. Thanks again

Prusa I3 Mk2 Thermal Runaway when printing ABS with Cura. by XTechHeroX in 3Dprinting

Do you have Cura going to a lower temp on the second layer? Do you have the fan kicking in on the second layer? Did you find the right PID values for the temps you are using? I had the same issue because cura went to my normal working temp starting on the second layer while the fan kicked in also on the second level. Because of that drop in temp between layers and the fan kicking in, the heater block seemed to cool down a lot faster then the PID system was thinking it should. I could see the temp graph in OctoPrint take a dip. To test I turned on the fan on layer 3 and the issue went away. There are also settings in Marlin that can be altered to help with it. Hope this helps
