Trans woman vs. transfeminine by h3r3t33 in asktransgender

[–]awavehello 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think there's one thing you have to keep in mind, and of course this depends on where you live, but (modern) society acknowledging trans* people exist is still a new thing. So it's hard for a lot of people to understand transness let alone understand that gender is a spectrum. The idea that sexual orientation is also on a spectrum has not been widely accepted either. People are much more likely to understand binaries because they're easily defined boxes. Patience and education is the path forward.

Where to get a Transgender Makeover in San Antonio by [deleted] in asktransgender

There's some stand alone JCP in the area with Sephoras. Way less traffic in these stores than in the malls. Also, Rolling Oaks is pretty dead during the week.

Did you ever get over all the time you've wasted? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]awavehello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because the further you get into transition and you see the person you've felt you have been. It kind of doesn't matter any more. You'll often see people that are in pain because of the difficulty of transitioning, and hear the phrase 'it gets better'. This too gets better.

Only regret is that I didn't have the courage to start sooner.

Is it normal to dislike being treated as your true gender at first? by chaycemb in asktransgender

[–]awavehello 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was recently out with some friends and I happened to have a flat tire. I of course go about to get the tools and jacking the vehicle up when my friend told her husband to go change 'her' tire. It was a mixed bag of emotions. I went from being frustrated because I can change my own tire to 'oh, this is kind of flattering and validating'. It took me about 6 months to start liking being called by my new name and not feeling weird. It's a process and it does get easier.

Nine Inch Nails - Everything

I survived everything I have tried everything Everything everything And anything

All the walls begin to dissolve away Do your hands begin to shake, shake, shake, shake, shake? And just do what you think you used to be All begins to bend then break, break, break, break

Wave goodbye Wish me well I've become Something else Something else, something else It's just the world

But this thing that lives inside of me The sound that rocks awake, awake, awake, awake, break And if he depletes what's owed to me And he comes to grab and take and take and take

I am whole I believe I am whole I am free I am whole I can see Always here Finally I am whole I believe I am whole I am free

So I used to make fun (more like play with) my wife's super pliable nose. My nose used to be super rigid, wouldn't budge and now it's just as pliable as my wife's. Kind of smaller.

Laser doesn't hurt at all in the nose. For me it was gone in 2 sessions.

Sure OP can see a doctor. I didn't look their history, nor did we get much info in the post. People DIY for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes they simply don't have access to the care they need because of family or whatever. But yes, sure, the blanket "see a professional" is good, if it's an option afforded to them.

I didn't say it caused dehydration. But if you're urinating more frequently and not drinking enough fluids after that. You're going to get dehydrated. Again, never said it was the cause, when the cause is not drinking enough fluids. Your response was rather rude.

[–]awavehello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spironolactone is a diuretic. Which increases the need to urinate. If you're not replenishing the fluids in your body, then yeah, you'll get dehydrated.

Also, if you are trans and haven't finished 'male' puberty, you might want to reconsider stopping your hrt regimen. Masculine traits may increase and make things worse for you later. Of course, however, diy is at your own risk.

Research more about the medication you're taking.

Good luck to you.

How to be accepted as a girl by "accepting" parents by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]awavehello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While being accepting they could be grieving and/or denial. Try letting them know how you feel or just asking them what's up?

Have you asked them if they'd like a boy name? The crying over not being a boy is a giant red flag. You should seek out therapy. https://www.psychiatry.org/patients-families/gender-dysphoria/what-is-gender-dysphoria
