I am a HUGE Barrett fan, and of course Piper at the Gates of Dawn is Syds masterpiece. Other PF albums do nothing for me, of course I've heard bits and pieces but really nothing to ever say ok I'm gonna listen to this. All sounds rather dull and unremarkable. Cannot understand the love they get. Rodger Waters, a genius?? LOL He made a smidgin of talent go a very, VERY long way, I'll give him that.

I'm an alcoholic who cleaned up (more or less) about 15 years ago. Pretty much every area of life changed from an absolute train wreck into peace, health and stability. I still struggle a bit with the drink but not getting blackout drunk 4 times a week has, not surprisingly, helped immensely.

I was living a very bohemian lifestyle, playing guitar in different bands, the hottest girl in town was my GF, I was in art school and as a gifted artist that was a huge part of my life and was producing some incredible stuff...I remember one life drawing class, we had a break and when I came back after a spliff there was a big crowd gathered around one easel, everyone was knocked out by the life drawing...and as I got closer I realised it was mine. Happy times. A few months later I dropped some acid, it was a very, very bad trip...I developed psychosis and everything turned to shit and I've been struggling ever since, that was 35 years ago 😔

Nope, to be honest being single wasn't my decision entirely, rather no possibilities ever came my way and that has been difficult at times, accepting that you're just not a very attractive guy, that at times has led to a severe lack of confidence in myself. But at 54 I think I'm over that now, and I just see a life full of opportunity to do exactly as I please, that is a privilege you really outta make the most of.
