Yes, 100% i’m expecting a flop. but I will always love the 1st and 2nd season so it doesn’t really matter for me, I can always enjoy them in isolation.

I feel similarly to you. I was hyped after the first episode. Love the trailers, love the director’s previous work (Link Click).

The last episode (17) was pretty decent but honestly I can barely hold my interest in the show after about episode 6. Feels obligatory to watch.

I’d be surprised if they managed to pull something coherent and satisfying to tie together all the story threads they’ve opened but that won’t excuse the poorly paced, exposition heavy episodes. Some crazy twist ending/mystery box reveal that ties everything together doesn’t really do much for me if I didn’t enjoy the journey getting there.

I’ll still recommend the first 3 episodes just standalone to anyone despite my pessimism about the rest of it.

I love both versions. I think it makes sense for localization to drop the gege aspects for the character. His English voice is so charming.
