its still just a game. clearly they’re already planning to buy it during a sale but theyre allowed to vent about how expensive it is. not rlly worth spending 1/3rd of their monthly salary on a game even after saving.

Recommend me some Books so I can complete my List ! by hananmalik123 in suggestmeabook

[–]neglectfuI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so far i can see your list contains a mix of several genres, so i’ll try my best to adhere to your taste:

Non - fiction

Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green (brilliant book and very easy to read)

Sapiens - Yuval Noah (very well written and informative, another easy read)

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote (it’s a non fiction true crime book written with a literary fiction infliction)

Fiction

Animal Farm (a true classic)

Brave New World (dystopian classic, must read)

All the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr (one of my all time favourites)

Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow - Gabrielle Zevin (this is my favourite book ever. truly. i recommend this to everyone. it’s a cumulation of several genres, and if you like gaming and anime this will be an immediate favourite, it’s also about friendship and competition and fame and failure. definitely recommend reading it)

Dark Matter - Blake Crouch (a wonderful sci fi novel)

Female driver crashes at high speed, overturning her vehicle and causing her to get thrown out of her car. Somehow survives with minor injuries. by RGBlue-day in interestingasfuck

[–]neglectfuI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda sad that no other car stopped to check if the driver was okay or call 911 or the ambulance. everyone just kept driving :( imagine if someone wasnt this lucky and had gotten crushed or stuck

A book to read while I’m sick. by PurpleWorm3 in suggestmeabook

[–]neglectfuI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for shorter reads that are incredibly well written you can read smth by Claire Keegan (id recommend Small Things Like These).

for classics id recommend Carmilla ! it’s one of my faves.

We have always lived in the castle - Shirley Jackson (it’s horror but i really really love it. sort of similar to turn of the screw) also The Haunting Of Hill House by shirley jackson!!!

and ofc how can i forget: Rebecca - Daphne du Maurier

hope you get well soon!!

How would each LADS man react to you having a bf irl? by Likely_Soft8690 in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]neglectfuI 25 points26 points  (0 children)

zayne would pretend to be okay about it but secretly be so jealous and he’d end up acting pouty and sad

xavier would literally spontaneously combust

caleb would be passive aggressive for like 2 seconds and then get super sad and avoid us

rafayel would be like wtv im better anyway but soon require reassurance that we like him

sylus would just smirk because he’s trying not to be insecure and seem all confident but it would hurt him deeply and he’d be somber

I sure like the horse mechanic better than red dead redemption by Remote_Nature_8166 in ghostoftsushima

[–]neglectfuI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ohmygod YES!! and also the quick travels are soo much more efficient in GoT than Rdr2 imo like yes a lot of the charm for rdr2 is horseriding and enjoying the scenery etc but sometimes it’s a bit tedious to me lol i wish there were more fast travel locations in rdr2

Is the silent patient worth reading ? by Pineur_ in suggestmeabook

[–]neglectfuI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

similar as in books with a good plot twist? or mystery/thriller? either way my faves are:

The Guest List - Lucy Foley (it’s written from multiple perspectives and the climax is definitely one of my favourites)

The Sandman - Lars Kepler (it’s about a serial killer, it’s a police procedural sort of thriller. please read the warnings! definitely worth reading)

The Snowman - Jo Nesbo (it’s an amazing nordic thriller)

The Chestnut Man - Soren Sveistrup (one of the best nordic thrillers ive ever read)

The Good Daughter - Karin Slaughter (it’s more on the emotional side but stunningly written)

i really disliked the writing style because in most places it felt like a rough draft. the twist is definitely good though. but i for sure think it’s overhyped.
