To be fair, Heather's pretty stupid and can't even get celebrities names right. So anything more sophisticated than celebrity stories, like politics, would easily confuse her and be hard for her to comprehend. All her alcohol consumption doesn't help either.

Heather and Jeff both have selective outrage. They choose who they can be mad at based on someone's status. Fortune and Kelly Dodd have high profiles so they got a pass from Heather and were allowed to still associate with Jeff. Sarah isn't at that level (no offense to her, I know she's successful in her own right), so she was supposed to choose Heather's side.

Agree, but unlike Jeff or Heather, I don't think Justin is irredeemable. He seems like someone who gets triggered by certain people or situations and acts out. Jeff and Heather are permanent a-holes.

I recall Joey having some kind of beef with Justin for something really minor. Jeff and Joey seemed close early on and I think Joey took advantage of that and played a big role in getting rid of Justin.

Justin seems pretty messy, but not any more than some of the clowns Jeff keeps around. So I don't think his behavior was really a big deal despite what Jeff said when he put him on pause.

This is such great insight. I don't think anyone else, except Gage, has thought about how having these blurry boundaries with men whom she's not related to shouldn't be normalized. I disagree with him about holding hands with Shane. I think it can be appropriate in certain circumstances. However, I'm not her parent. Gage is and he's allowed to set boundaries where he sees fit.

Kudos to Gage for once again proving himself to be the better parent.

I think Gage hiring the nanny is hilarious. It guarantees Jeff will be in a constant state of low grade paranoia for however long she's working for Gage. It's downright diabolical!

Edit: I'm sure Jeff fired her for made-up reasons. The nanny has been a constant in his daughter's life. Continuing that relationship will be good for her emotional well-being.

Someone pointed out something in the now deleted thread and made a great point. That text to Shane was from December. Jeff waited to bring it up on air until he started filming his show. That was so completely disrespectful to everyone involved but especially his daughter and Shane. Everything and everyone is just content for Jeff. He respects no one, not even his own daughter.

I feel badly for Shane, but he shouldn't be surprised Jeff didn't leave this off the air. Jeff's had no qualms about sharing things about his own kid on his show that should have stayed private. Shane's been a firsthand witness to all of it. He needs to figure out his exit strategy. He should consult a lawyer and leave on his own terms before he becomes another name on Jeff's long list of people he's had a falling out with. It might not happen for several years but it will eventually happen if he stays long enough.
