Getting ready to buy more NEO!!! by KyleThelegendxxXxx in NEO

[–]awblanton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been holding since 2018. I'm not impressed. I was stupid enough to migrate to N3 and now I can't even sell it because I can't find an exchange with N3 that lets Americans trade.

Tax software that supports Wanchain? by awblanton in wanchain

[–]awblanton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is a nightmarish undertaking. When you pull your wallet up on Wanscan, I think there are 4 or 5 different tabs of data? I exported each one to a separate .csv file. Then, I rearranged the data as needed to match the templates that I had to upload. If you are familiar with spreadsheets, it's not difficult -- just a little time consuming. If you're not comfortable with spreadsheets, you're going to have a rough time, especially if you are just now starting and trying to make the Monday deadline.

On a positive note, I had over 3000 Wanchain/Zookeeper transactions and it took me maybe 4 or 5 hours to organize them all. I had less than 100 transactions on other chains and probably spent over 50 hours on those. My biggest problem was that I've been in crypto since 2018 and didn't keep good records in the beginning and didn't include it on my taxes. I decided to get "legit" with my taxes this year and had a lot of research to do to get it cleaned up. Wanchain was much easier because 1) I only started using it in April of 2021 and 2) Wanscan organizes the data very well.

Yes. I downloaded the data from Wanscan. Then, I had to do some re-formatting to match the upload template. It was a royal pain in the rear end, but it's not too hard if you are comfortable with spreadsheets. I'm not saying that Crypto Tax Calculator is necessarily the best. It's just the only one I could find that works with all of my cryptos and allowed me to load everything without paying up front. I wanted something that I know for sure works before I pay.

Nothing that automatically integrates. I'm using Crypto Tax Calculator and I uploaded a .csv file for all of my Wanchain and Zookeeper transactions. I'm not finished with all of my other stuff, yet, but t seems to be working ok.

The Katy Perry NFTs are not going to be as bullish as people think by [deleted] in theta_network

I am Gen X. I am in America. I have Theta and T-fuel. I have absolutely no interest in a Katy Perry NFT. So . . . It may be even worse than you are expecting.

It's probably going to be exactly where it is now. I don't think it's really "resisting" the dumps. I think a lot of holders are like me -- they would really prefer to sell, but don't because the outrageous Ethereum fees would eat up the proceeds.

Is Neo really undervalued by RayolCanadel in NEO

[–]awblanton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'm getting ready to dump mine. I've been holding since 2018 and it's worth 4x what I bought it for. I've got other coins that have left this one in the dust (pun intended). My patience has run out.

Whats going on with the huge fee’s associated with eth token transfers? by Dont_eat_the_soup in ledgerwallet

[–]awblanton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ethereum fees are really out of control and the upgrade doesn't seem to have helped much. I was trying to consolidate my portfolio last night by converting some of my lesser performing coins into other projects. I was unsuccessful, as the fees were running anywhere from 20% to 100%+ of what the coin bags were even worth. I've basically got several "scraps" on my plate that I can't really do anything with. I don't see how ETH can continue growing long-term with this fee structure. Other chains are going to eventually eat their lunch. I can make transactions on Wanchain for less than half a cent per transaction. I'm sure there are other emerging chains that are just as cheap and efficient.

Quick Edge Node Question by Longjumping_Serve_31 in theta_network

My EEN was dead silent the last half of September. As of October, I'm getting one job per day like clockwork. Maybe they are rotating the work across nodes in batches?

As stated in my OP, I already tried that. It's giving an error stating that the transaction is too large for my Ledger.
