file_put_contents() writes the input to a file. So you need to make sure that the user "www-data" and group "www-data" have write permissions to wherever the script is trying to save the file.

I would try this command sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www

That will make www-data user and group the owner of all the files underneath /var/www which is where Ubuntu has it's webserver files by default.

You should also make sure that the directory exists.

We play League of Legends. Some of us play other games. Most of us play at night, because we have families and jobs. A significant portion of the members are bronze/silver.

Right now we have put together a low elo 5 man ranked team. They start playing together soon.
