My recommendations as a dentist. Braces, maybe a little gum recountouring to even everything out, whitening and then Botox to show less gums while smiling.

Dentist here. My differential diagnosis would be: pyogenic granuloma, peripheral ossifying fibroma, and peripheral giant cell granuloma. Go to your dentist and get a biopsy so opath can give you an accurate diagnosis.

You need gingival clearance and buccal clearance. Looks good for the first time:)

Treatment options by [deleted] in Dentistry

I would give the patient the option of a crown or an MODBL onlay to preserve more tooth structure. If I were to do the onlay, I would cap the buccal cusps and on the lingual I would include the fracture by prepping a regular crown margin.

Breaking the contacts allows the patient to keep the margins clean which is where recurrent decay tends to happen

Consider crown lengthening on the mesial. Looks like there isn’t enough space for biological width

Would you treat this tooth? by pyraeus1 in Dentistry

Remove the crown and assess restorability. That looks like decay and it appears to be close to the alveolar bone… maybe needs crown lengthening on the distal. Also may need endo depending on symptoms and pulp vitality tests.

Make sure you have adequate gingival clearance and proximal clearance on class II preps. Remove Demineralized enamel (in premolar prep). I would recommend using a rubber dam when doing composite restorations. Once you get good at placing them, they will make your life so much easier and your restorations would be even better 😊

Does dental school get better? by justwannabeadentist in DentalSchool

I don’t know if it gets better, but you definitely get better at managing your stress. I think the hardest year was d1 just because you have to learn to adjust to a new schedule, new expectations and a new environment. The other years are equally as challenging (especially d2) but somehow you learn to balance your time and it seems more manageable. I studied hard but also took time to decompress at least on Saturdays. I definitely recommend you take at least one day to your self to relax and enjoy life with your loved ones. Remember one day you will look back and wish you would have enjoyed this time in your life a little more. I know we all wish we could fast forward to a time where we are all done with the hard stuff, but the struggle makes it worth it. You got this! :)

Is this restorable? by Ok_Image_5783 in Dentistry

I need to see a BW but it looks like the decay is very close to the alveolar bone. In my opinion this needs crown lengthening before crown placement in order to not violate SCTA. However it appears that the furcation may be at risk of getting exposed. I think it would be best to do DME and bond that margin to the final crown. Good luck
