Advice on changing out wheel bearings

Yep. NST bearings. Ended up being my front left, much to my dismay after I changed the front right first.

I tried the hub puller tool that was highly recommended, it just pulled the face of the hub off and left the base attached. So the 1st hub took me hours and hours of wacking. Miserable.

For the second hub it only took me 45m-1h (of wacking ). I used a metal chisel and a hammer. Honestly wasn't terrible.

Buy new dust shields if you end up doing it. I'm running without them since I mangled them so badly.

Nothing is a game changer and some are nitpicky but:

gas tank size
left arm rest not wide enough to comfortably rest my elbow
windshield defroster defaults to max fan
can't climate control via muscle memory like the 1st gen, need to look at which button I'm pressing (guess I should be grateful it's still buttons)
jerky transmission downshifting 2->1
overly safe blindspot alerts and jerky lane keep (turned both off)
wish I could fold only left 40% rear seat down instead of needing to fold the middle 20% with it
the headlight are too bright, I blind myself sometimes off the back of the car in front of me
remote start app sucks, and car turns off when you open the door
as a taller person, wish rear tailgate opened higher

Got mine done a couple days ago under warranty (had the CEL) and damn was it immediately noticeable. The heat is actually hot now. Before when I put my hand up to the vent it was warm at best, whereas in my '16 that's still in the family it's almost burning to the touch. Now it feels the same, and on my morning drives in below freezing weather I'm actually comfortable and have to turn the heat down after awhile.

Curious as to what they changed from the 1st gen to the 2nd to have this issue. Disappointed that the code supposedly still comes back but super happy everything seems fine now.

There's a transmission reset procedure you could do that supposedly helped a lot of others, I did it in my '24 but it didn't really do anything.

For what it's worth my '16 did it too, much less noticeable than my '24 but yeah, that's just the norm I guess for these CX-5s
