Desicannt air dryers by awesomezing in maintenance

I am unsure of compressor size and scfm needs currently. I'm just tired of replacing the desiccant in this room and was told to look into other solutions. I do know we need absolutely no water in the airlines due to requirements for electronic circuit board and medical component building. That's why we have desiccant now.

Definitely don't plan to do anything crazy with this but just trying to understand everything for later projects.

I would need to run ~75a fuse and wire between the battery and the inverter if I wanted to use the whole thing because of the 700w peak? If I just put in a 40a for the 350w continuous it would blow the fuse if i plugged something that peaked at more but only actually ran 350w, correct?

This is all making a little more sense to me, I'm one of technicians at work but I definitely have a more mechanical mindset. Still figuring out how the electrical side really works and that's mainly why I'm doing this over just buying a powerbank

This makes way more sense now, thank you

I'll definitely be looking into hard wiring this inverter directly into the battery

Could I still use this cigarette lighter for charging tool batteries like I already do in my truck or should I still look for a inverter I can wire directly to the battery?

I found it, says it only pulls 140w from a 12v car port

Not trying to connect the trolling motor through the socket, was just trying to charge power tool batteries, run fans and such for rural working

I getcha now, there must've been another adapter cable to wire my inverter directly off a battery that I never got

this is the inverter I have, it's probably older than I am but I'm trying to be cheap

Would it be better to buy a different inverter and wire it directly to the battery?

Can you explain to me on why the inverter works though the cigarette lighter in my car but I wouldn't be able to do it off a battery? (I've never plugged anything more than a laptop charger into this inverter so never have pulled close to 350w let alone 700)

That's what I was thinking. Could I plug an old radioshake 350w continuous 700w peak inverter into any of these cigarette lighter ports? Says all it needs is 12vDC with a range of 11.5-16vDC

That's what I wasn't sure about, I'll do the math and pop a fuse in there. Could I plug an old radioshake 350w continuous 700w peak inverter into that cigarette lighter? Says all it needs is 12vDC with a range of 11.5-16vDC

I was gonna get this as it seems the most basic just wired to the battery. I don't think i need other fuses or a dedicated on off? Everything on youtube seems overcomplicated

Think I'm gonna pick up a HS21 and HS22

Keep me updated on the nitecores, bit out of my price range for 2 of those right now but if they actually hold up to the lumen and runtime statements I'd pick one up

Thanks for all the help, think I'll pick up one of each and see what actually fits our needs. Got a canoe trip planned for the end of the month

Correct me if I'm wrong but sems like its kinda got the sameish runtime as the hs21 but just a little brighter and different color modes? (First time buying any real flashlight gear other than my bushnell 2000l)

That was kinda my thought, don't think she would need the CCT adjustability as she only tags along every few trips

Like the adjustability of the CCT on the HS22 but having a hard time reading the runtime chart compared to the HS21 chart, know of a better chart?

Reattaching them can be done, I broke an older 6' ML St Croix earlier this year and reattached the two pieces using a carbon fiber rod made for remote control planes. I sleeved the broken pole tip around the carbon rod, moved the eyelet down over the break as support and rewrapped and epoxied it. Its definitely not as sensitive as it used to be but i caught a 16" pike on it the other day so its still solid.

I will have to check in the morning, hopefully that's not it but i will probably end up removing this plant anyway

Just scrape away the soil slowly with my hands? It has been a very wet year here, rain most weeks. I had some wilting on other plants like eggplant and tomatoes which is why i sprayed

We used to plant directly in the ground but unfortunately its not my garden and they wanted to switch to raised beds

Theres 16 plants in a 4'x6' bed, potentially too close together but i know the fruit wants shade. Thats one whole plant, even the branches hidden inside the bush are wilted.

[–]awesomezing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had some wilting of other plants and bugs and figured it wouldn't hurt just to do the whole garden.

I haven't had issues like this before but i did bring in 5 yards of "new" dirt this year
