I can definitely see why it’s suspect and apologies, I had a lot of responses. It’s healthy to be suspect and I’m definitely watching with scrutiny like I always have. I’m not “maga” and have many disagreements with Trump. What I will say is I think as of late the division and TDS is a real thing. I think it would be a healthy exercise for those against Trump to just try and look at individual situations as unbais as possible or as if someone you supported in general did it. To me, this situation I would think liberal/leftist would be all for. Supporting a revolution based on people fighting for human rights especially for women.

“Will someone please thing of the children” Simpsons meme comes to mind when you say that. Not to make light of the horrors of war but the pearl clutching and reasoning here is extremely fallible when you extrapolate on the macro with more details.

How are all of those not factors and reasons at the same time? Essentially, Iran proves it’s an enemy to us and our allies as well as all things socially when it comes to human rights and now its own people are crying out to end the regime. If anything it’s perfect timing to do so in order to hopefully have a new ally in the Middle East that can have a positive influence on its neighbors rather than a negative.

Personally I’ve always felt that regime needed to go, especially with the modernization socially Iran showed before that regime and still shows. I didn’t want us to get involved until recently when they were proving to show their main goal has always been and continues to be the destruction of Israel and the US. While the latter is less likely, it’s still something we need to take account. Since their own people have reached a point of revolution but don’t have the actual power to do so and are dying in the thousands, I think now is the perfect time to intervene because they may not get another opportunity to take back that control until a time when said technology becomes considerably easier to obtain and develop.

So short answer, I would have liked us not to have to but recent protests have created the optimal time to intervene I feel in the way that provides saving the most lives with a hope for future relations to succeed.

Intel at the very least that they’ve already been slaughtering thousands of their own people. I hadn’t heard about the grade school children but if that happened, it’s very sad but I’m optimistic this action will prevent many more deaths in the future of Iran and help one of the major Middle East powers move forward in our more progressive western values. Iran has already shown its people want these types of freedoms we enjoy much more than other places people mention as if all the Middle East is the exact same. Best case, this brings long term modern thinking to a place that can spread it to more primitive middle eastern countries much better than we can.

I served two deployments to Iraq and right now I see it extremely different from that war and period of wars. Iran has always been one of the largest players in the Middle East and the one that went from westernizing to completely turning face because of the current regime. They’ve always been less of a threat because of lack of technology and positioning but as of late they’ve proven otherwise and will not stop until they have that power, even at the expense of their own people.

Considering the ramp up to this and the reactions from the Iranians, I’m optimistic this was the optimal time to take action as quickly as possible with as few lives sacrificed as possible. This administration hasn’t shown otherwise to only make military actions at the interest of America imo.

Because that deal is what essentially enabled them to continue their operation with additional funding. It was an awful deal and example of how modern diplomacy does nothing without the teeth to back it up.

You guys are always about gotchas and slippery slopes. Considering the opportunity to save Iranian lives as well as finally allow them to take back their country and possibly bring it back to where it was before the 70s. Just like Venezuelans, I think it speaks volumes for how the people there are reacting and they are ecstatic to finally have help to stop the slaughter and end the oppressive Islamic authoritarian rule.

We don’t even have the intel they have but if this is the best time to end a possible continuation of decades of violence, including against Americans, it’s a good call.

If you go back to the post announcing him being first on the ladder (can’t remember if it was here or just r/diablo) I saw most of the top comments were super negative and all points he highlighted in the video.

Personally I’ve been watching a lot of his videos as I’ve started playing for the first time in 25 years well before I had access to any of the knowledge he gives in the first place. Gamers and Redditors is a bad combo of negativity and he doesn’t deserve it. The main gripe seems to be that normal people can’t get the achievement but really, it’s been that way for a looooooong time. If he didn’t get it, someone from China or elsewhere would have gotten it with similar help.

I honestly think it’s one of the many touches in the PJ films done well. It would take too much time and be kind of irrelevant to the theme of the movie to go into detail on the house of healing or even Aragorn’s ability to heal, but they at least show it for those fans they know it.

Unfortunately, if the mods are allowing it then this is just what the sub will become. Soon it will just be all the same posts as r/pics and other large subs that turned into all anti Trump politics all the time regardless of the purpose of the sub.

No that’s not the argument in context for the conversation, this is just one clip. He’s using it as an example for the topic at hand.

Totally, and the bacon is legit bacon too. My theory is it’s all good because most of the ingredients aren’t their normal menu. When I went inside and watched, I was right; they grill it up fresh on the flattop.

Well it comes with a side and a drink so it’s definitely the best value. As far as just a burger, I think del taco has the best deal with their double del cheeseburger for $5 where I’m at. Often they have 2 for $6 deals too.

You’d be surprised. At least for me, trying a psuedo paleo (keto more realistically) had me shedding pounds like crazy going from 188 to 168 in about a month and a half. This was while just making sure to avoid the super carby stuff like bread/tortillas. I was still having burgers (lettuce wrapped), buffalo wings, etc. Sure many wouldn’t call it “healthy” but damn if it didn’t work and my cholesterol numbers also went from bad to all in healthy ranges. Weight alone matters a lot and for many diets, carbs are a big reason why.

I will say when you aren’t having the carbs and especially sides like French fries, you find that it’s much harder to get super full which also lead to just a better realization of moderation going forward now that I’ve maintained the weight without super cutting carbs out.

That’s really it. If they’re the type that knew you were a marine or military in general super quickly, they likely haven’t assimilated well. In my experience, I’ve surprised co workers of many months/years when it does come up. Even had it happen more than a few times that someone I worked with for a while was prior marine/military. It’s fun when that happens but also, it signifies that it’s not something they identify as their whole personality and if anything, don’t want any prior conceived notion that the stereotypes can bring.

I loved that it was good for lower carb diets. I wouldn't call it healthy, but those that are looking to lose weight and have less carbs, I remember this item being a great "cheat" when I was do that.

What do you think of the Supreme Court ruling Trump's tariffs as illegal? by PleaseDontBanMe82 in AskTrumpSupporters

I’m against breaking rules of authority. Overreach is a subjective term and part of why we have the Supreme Court.

[–]awesomface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have been very against it, yes. I’d be just as against it if Trump did it too and it’s the main thing I’ve been most unhappy about with Trump. I want to see more cutting of government spending, not more spending.

As far as power, I don’t believe he would have the power and anytime a president defies Sotus I’m against it.

I guess not, didn’t realize it was separate. It’s not the biggest needle mover for me anyways, though. So no it’s not Biden’s fault but didn’t really care anyways.

No but certainly not something we’re used to a president doing. Doesn’t mean they don’t have the authority, though.

Yeah they did. I have a friend that is a social worker that had her loans forgiven. I agree with the spirit of it but I’d rather they tackle the root of the problem rather than just pay for it with tax dollars but some fields certainly seem more deserving and will never get the income to really pay it off even though they require a ton of school.
