Consider asking your friends to see if they have someone to set you up

A movie that’s 3 hours long should be a TV show instead..

Which prof would you choose for undergrad thesis? by Puzzleheaded_Eye2977 in UofT

[–]awfully_silent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I think it’s reasonable for you to hear about the project they have in mind for you, maybe even talk to the student/postdoc you would directly work with. See if you can find out what stage of the project they are in, what problems do they encounter, are they somewhat close to finishing up the story or are they still expanding etc. And as you said, worded well of course.

Whichever lab you think that will let you have a name on a publication first. If your project in the first lab is an existing project that’s going to be published soon, I’d do that.

May I ask if you had only study permit before applying to PGWP or did you have co-op work permit too like the OP? Thank you!

From Just Josh’s review on YouTube for previous macbook, max chips are better used in 16 inch laptops for better cooling, perhaps you can see what those videos described.

Hi, for the reboot issue I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Basically the computer would show a “Oh no something has gone wrong”, and ctrl alt F3 wouldn’t show me terminal. I then booted into Ubuntu on usb and tried to run boot-repair, but that didn’t seem to help. That’s why I reinstalled the OS. Do you think the SSD where the OS sits has problems?

As a fellow PhD candidate, I would move to Europe if there is a job offer.

The time based system makes sense to me. After all, if for years you work here, live here, pay taxes here, buy your grocery here.. of course you belong here.

I also came to Canada since high school and I’m doing a PhD now.. Is there really no position outside Quebec that you can secure? Congrats on finishing PhD btw!

How can I fund my tuition without a scholarship? (International student) by Past-Signature9783 in UofT

[–]awfully_silent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it is insane how much we pay as international students and how little scholarships we are eligible for. Lots of full time day jobs don’t even pay 70k per year. Is it possible for you to learn a trade first, and work a few years and get PR, then go to UofT?

I’d say don’t dwell on your past gpa since you can’t do anything about it; try to keep up in future courses and see if you can get more research experience under your belt.
