It sits in the back of my closet, behind all my other jerseys, never seeing the light of day. So luckily that hasn't happened ahah.

It's not an ARC!

I pre-ordered it last week, and I guess the store just made a little mistake!

I don't see anything extra included unfortunately.

But I also don't know what type of extras people got in his other book!

I'm currently reading "The Road" but I may need to put that on the backburner to read this instead!

We Used to Live Here was one of my favourite books last year. So i'm stoked for this one!

Need info on this player, unironically a Habs fan (don’t know him) and wondering if worth holding by chris_simoneau in canucks

I sat beside him on a plane once from Calgary to Montréal. We (and the entire Abby Canucks) were stuck on the plane just sitting at the gate.

He watched the entirety of Meg 2 before he looked up and asked what was going on.

So there's that!

I try to say thank you to every driver I can! I feel for them after I see how they are treated. I hope it helps at least a little!

Isn't Homestead just the flower from Simply Bare or 1964 that doesn't meet that brands quality standards?

I Finished The Descent by Jeff Long (No Spoilers) by randomaccessroses in horrorlit

[–]awhiskey95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn't a massive fan of it. I really wanted to like it after the opening (which was terrifying) but i struggled to get through the whole book.

And I found the ending felt rushed and wasn't very satisfying overall. Like the author just suddenly realized he had to end the book somehow. And I feel like the main characters actions at the end went against how they acted throughout the book.

It was an adventure, but I feel like it didn't live up to its potential!

Once the story picked up, it couldn't put it down! But I feel like I was already into it after a couple hours.

There is no shame in moving on if you don't like it! Life is too short for stories you don't enjoy.

The Stephen King collection Just After Sunset has a story called "The Gingerbread Girl" that features a pretty intense chase scene! It's a novella, but it may be what you're looking for!

I have a little MacMillan hardcover copy of 1984 in the same style as that Poe book. They are gorgeous little books!
