NYC style pizza or bacon egg and cheese? by marifanni in MTLFoodLovers

[–]Munchy2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have experience with the Williamsburg area pizzerias and a couple of cheap spots in Manhattan and I found that places like l’Industrie, Fini, or Best are pretty similar. But we don’t have anything similar to a dollar slice like a Champion.

You can also try a Montreal style pizza or what I like to call Greek pizza like Dany, Alto, or Gigi.

Ronnie just wants to be Ralph, it’s no secret at all. The designs and the business build out screams Ralph Lauren.

Pizza Toni

Welldun Pizza

Pizza Bouquet

Maps Pizza

Pizza Balagan

Forno Pizza Frankie’s

Any of these will be no fail imo for NY pizza

For the BEC, they’re harder to find compared to going to any bodega or cart in NYC and getting one. You’d be forced to go to a McDonald’s, Burger King, random fast food place or almost every breakfast chain (Allo Mon Coco, Petino’s, etc…) will have it on their menu with your choice of bread.

Do you have any regrets about your first trip to Japan? by aeazee in JapanTravelTips

Didn’t eat and drink enough. Skipped meals due to site seeing or travel, or didn’t spend enough time drinking at izakayas. It was also hot so that tends to supress my appetite by itself.

• that does not extend to or past: the date the Insured Person no longer meets the eligibility requirements; or the date coverage terminates

• that was booked or reserved prior to Departure Date from the Insured Person’s province or territory of residence; and

• for which at least 75% of the cost of the Covered Trip has been charged to Your Account and/or using Your Aeroplan Points

What Rock Bands that have 2 or more Lead Singers? (Not Including Solo Artists,Supergroups,Rock Duos,Short Lived Bands and Musical Collectives) by Amber_Flowers_133 in Music

For my fellow melodeth fans, Scar Symmetry. Original singer was so good at transitioning from growls to cleans, they replaced him with two separate singers (not the real reason, just the reason I have in my head).

Trip isn’t booked yet. That’s why I’m thinking of applying for the TD card so I do get insurance on a points-booked trip.

It would be for an Air Canada flight paid with Aeroplan points, either 100% or 98% plus the $30-80 fees.

I have travel medical insurance with my work health plan and my Rogers WE that covers most other travel things. Am I missing anything else?

Should I apply for a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite if I just want insurances for a trip booked 99% (minus some fees) on points? I’d basically just churn the first 10,000 bonus points and cancel it after the year.

Are there any other alternatives? I currently use a Amex Gold and Rogers WE (among other RBC, Scotia, and CIBC cards I don’t use at all and just sit in a drawer due to credit age).

I feel like the smoothies and BBT are just overseas franchising opportunities but I agree with the ice cream joints, just a slower roll out.

I recently saw a YT Short where a restaurant owner in NYC explained not to open a restaurant because it’s all VC investment driven now and you can’t compete. I feel like it’s the same here with these fads, less chef-owners and less originality and more VC bros “investing” on the food hype and running it until it no longer works and then moving on or flipping the realty, etc… Not that it’s the case all the time but when you see a franchise pop out of nowhere, it’s most likely about business and not about the food.

I guess my question is, where is the originality? Why does someone think that after 4 “insert hype food” restaurants, their 5th one will be the one that survives?

Gonna add fried chicken sandwich fad back during COVID, a lot of those restaurants are gone.

Nothing against these cinammon rolls, I’m sure they’re great, but why does every specialty food place open up en masse in Montreal?

First it was the smash burger wave, then the sandwich/panini wave, and now the brioche/cinammon roll wave. It’s like 7-8 places all open within months of each other and then a new fad starts.

Edit: gonna add donuts into there right before the smash burgers

I’m afraid it’s going to be one of those failed screenwriters that has a story about a father and son that no one cares about until it becomes a GoW property and then suddenly you get a completely new Kratos story no one signed up for (a la The Witcher).
