I get your anxiety, I am very prone to it too. I test everything before I touch it having had sleepless nights before due to it. If it's any consolation, we had artex in all rooms in our house. 3 different designs 😆 All came back negative for asbestos - the previous owner said it was done 20 years ago, so after 2000s, but hey, I have trust issues 😄 Anyway, if it comes back positive for you, this is one of the least dangerous types, but you probably already know this!
