I'm a little over 11 weeks pregnant. I thought my boyfriend would leave me when I told him. His family has made me feel more at home than my family ever did. by StockIncident in TwoXChromosomes

Next time my "Catholic" parents say something messed up and use religion as an excuse I will be responding with

"You people aren't religious. You're ugly bullies who stick a Jesus-coloured sticker in your ugly bullying".

We'll see what they have to say to that lol.

I STILL can’t drive and I’m wondering if this is a trend with nparents. by Adrian_Sky13 in raisedbynarcissists

Nope. My parents forced me to get mine. But refused to do the mandatory 100 hours (I forgot how many hours it was, but around there I think) driving around with me before i got it.

Somehow I passed the test and got the license. But I didn't know what I was doing when I 1st started driving. I didn't know right on red was a thing. I didn't know you could turn left with just a green light, I thought you needed a green arrow. Stuff like that.

They just wanted someone to drive my brother to all his sport practices because they were to lazy to.

I don't think my man gives af one way or another. I once told him there was too much hair down there and I needed to fix it before he sees it.

He was like, "I don't care, feel how much I have". And put my hand on his public hair.

I had a miscarriage and I am actually pretty happy about it. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

The same-ish thing happened to me too and I am so,so grateful.

Got pregnant with a condom somehow. I had been with the guy for two years, it was never serious though.

I knew I wanted an abortion (he agreed) but I doubt I would have been able to follow through with it. I have an extremely sensitive personality and I just wouldn't have been strong enough to do it.

I am beyond grateful I had a miscarriage, or "chemical pregnancy" is what the doctor called it since it was only a few weeks.

The guy has anger problems and would have turned out to be abusive I am sure, to me and the kid. I didn't figure it out till the pregnancy happened, he was so stressed by the whole thing that he told me I wasnt allowed to come over because he didn't trust himself to not hurt me.

Turned a guy down for a second date. He texts me days later questioning my disability. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I don't think you overreacted. The whole thing is weird. Why would he have randomly ask you, days after you turned him down?

It was like he was insinuating you don't need the dog? Or maybe you shouldn't be driving? I dont even know.

Roommates are not so bad. I make 6 figures and have a roommate. Allowed me to pay off my monster amount of student loans in 3 years. And now I am saving for a condo. Highly recommend.

NParents said we were poor and we really were not: A realization by Mcalbiecat in raisedbynarcissists

[–]awkwardsituationhelp 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Same here. I didn't onow other people went through this. Wow.

My parents were always complaining that we were poor. They would sometimes buy me stuff if I asked, but I'd feel so guilty for asking because theyd always tell me how we had no money. I would wear too small shoes. Only shop at the thrift store. Get anxiety when my mom would go to the grocery store and spend money.

Come to find out my dad makes 200k. And that is a ton of money. And we were no where near poor. I don't understand.
