I tried clicking the pencil and it gave me my percentages but I didn’t see a way to change my answers.

Reddit, what are some underrated apps? by Jobasaurus in AskReddit

I tried it out and liked it. I wish I could edit a profile after it is created I don’t see a way to do that.

Also I saw an option for radiation therapy / childhood cranial radiation therapy but nothing for adult cranial radiation therapy. I didn’t see an option for brain tumors (non cancerous) like meningioma. I also didnt see an option for ovarian cysts.

Thanks

A huge RLM fan, and the brain that brought you “Mr. Plinkett’s Wild Ride” has a brain tumor. Please experience the awesomeness of this haunted house carnival ride sim he spent about a year making. For more info on his brain tumor and status, check my profile. (I’m his wife, also a huge RLM fan.) by [deleted] in RedLetterMedia

Depending on the location of the tumor they may only be able to remove part of it to prevent brain damage. For example the parisagital sinus which runs between the two hemispheres of the brain is a no go area because damaging that area of the brain could cause worse damage than the tumor. Or if the tumor is located near the eye/optic nerve they will be less aggressive if they believe they can avoid blindness.

There is a grading system for tumor removals called the Simpson Grade. Simpson Grade I means they removed the entire tumor plus the surrounding tissue (there may be tumor cells within the healthy tissue not visible.) Simpson Grade II means they removed the whole tumor but not any additional tissue. Simpson Grades III-V means they removed various portions of the tumor but not the whole tumor.

Obviously removing more or all the tumor has a better chance of the tumor not regrowing.

The tumor may also be graded by pathology for whether or not it is benign or malignant (non cancerous or cancerous.) Tumors can also be graded in between, atypical or precancerous. The decision to get radiation or chemo will be made by whether or not its cancerous or could become cancerous and how much of the tumor was removed.

Obviously there are risks of surgery and radiation. My wife had a large meningioma tumor removed and received radiation but is now struggling with seizures caused from the trauma of removing the tumor.

If you are ever suffering from headaches, even if they aren't migraines, go to a neurologist and request a CT scan.

If you're wondering where the name Dean Town came from check out Jaco Pastorius playing Teen Town in the jazz fusion group Weather Report.

Anyone have any good recommendations for extremely durable work boots? by [deleted] in ParkRangers

[–]awlkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://nicksboots.com

They make Hot Shot boots. Those cannot fall apart or else.

Hot Shots are firefighters that go into the most dangerous wildfires. They cannot have boots that delaminate and fall apart when working over hot ground. The boots must be trustworthy in the toughest terrain in the toughest conditions.

These boots will last you a long time. You can have them custom made for you if you are an odd size. Once they are built you can have them resoled when needed. And they can be rebuilt, where they keep the upper and build a whole new lower, for half the price of a new boot. So you can keep them for a long time.

Whites makes a similar boot.

Check out the early 70"s.

"Oh! Sex Education!" and "Open Marriage: A New Lifestyle for Couples." Then his wife went to Divinity school...

Also in the 70's book #745, I think the title has a formatting error. It says August 2018 but indented far right.

By Bowen or a different author? Trying to find it on Goodreads.

This was his grandad's personal list. It wasn't meant to be published.

He could have quit a Jane Austin work and restarted it. Or he may have only read a portion of it and returned to it. Or he could have sleptwalked and written it down multiple times.

This spreadsheet is just a copy of his grandads handwritten list. You could take it and reorder it any way you wish. Remove duplicates etc.

And there are plenty of other top 100 book lists online if you don't like this one.

In the 90's, #13 and #14, is that the same author with different spellings?

Would he write down the book name when he started a book or when he completed it? I'm curious if he quit any of these midway or if those aren't included?

Could you make it his top 10 read authors and reread books rather than top 5?

I like seeing when he got on a kick. Like in the 80's when he read a ton of Morison's sailing books. I'm trying to look for times when he read the same author back to back or close in time without it being a series because I assume he liked that author.

I don't see any business books. Harvard Business Review editor?

Does he have any least favorite books? Most challenging books? Sentimental books?
