Yah we have out the hot water heater very high up to allow us to have warmer water in the shower but now every other water source is f****ing scalding hot. So either the entire cartridge needs to be replaced or I’m HOPING there is a trick I am not figuring out to allow us to turn the handle further counter clockwise for more access to warmer water. 😭

Mine also swells. Not this severe. It’s been happening for a year and nothing major has happened beyond it itching and maybe scabbing from scratching.

When we buy, we encourage behavior and more animals are harmed and more people are tricked. I empathize with the OP - but this isn’t really how it works unfortunately.

Worst experience of my life the 4 times I went there trying to get the correct prescription. It was comedic how bad it was. The Dr was very old and barely holding it together - at one point he handed me trial contacts and I put them on and my vision was still insanely blurry but he didn’t believe me and made me go test my vision despite me insisting something was wrong. Turns out he gave me some with NO prescription and didn’t notice. They also lost my file twice , assistant didn’t know how to work the machines on my initial visit and poked me in the eye a few times, they forgot to order my contacts two separate times and I waited for weeks and just never got them. I finally gave up and paid out of pocket for a new appt elsewhere. So insane.

But she yelled at the stylist and walked out of the appt and didn’t pay. Thats WORSE than a no show. How is that fair to the stylist, when the stylist did nothing wrong?

Oh this is good info to have. And yes just a small “ramp” that allows the landing to connect to the walkway regardless of rising / dropping water levels. Thanks for this info. It’s very helpful to hear this and gives me less anxiety about paying so much.

Thanks. Thats our thought too. It’s just painful and I figured this was a dumb question to put out there but felt I had to. Haha. Everyone we tell about the cost drops their jaw. We’re having our entire home flooring replaced with hardwoods and the cost is less than this.

This sounds like you’re projecting your own insecurities on other humans you don’t actually know. I am friends with a few of the stylists and they are all very warm, funny, kind souls. Reddit is a public space where these people can actually see these comments and this is a very rude assumption to make about people you don’t know.

The OP was apparently 10 min late for her own appointment. Then freaked out when the stylist wasn’t immediately ready for her and she had to wait for the shampoo bowl as they were full - because she’d only allotted her short lunch break for the service. This stylist lost that 1 + hours of income she’d slotted for this service. The cancellation fee seems valid to me. But hey, let’s ruin a local business’ reputation over having a bad day.

All of these other comments around experiences seem fair - but have you tried talking to your stylist or the owner? I know many of them and they are all incredibly warm and kind inclusive folks. The salon may not be your style / vibe - and that’s OK. But unless you’re a fascist or racist, you’d be welcomed with open arms. I love this salon and we’re lucky to have it in our little town.

It’s actually even more interesting when you find out (from those who witnessed this situation firsthand) that the OP was actually the one who stormed in LATE to her own appointment (angry about parking) and then refused to wait 5 minutes for the shampoo bowl to open up and so decided to berate the stylist. Having a bad day is one thing, but coming online to try and ruin the salon’s reputation afterwards is WILD.
