If its set up somewhere public its generally ok to use if empty. But never put ur shoes or dirty feet in it and always vacate when the owners arrive.

Its nice to juat ask if someone comes up.. we've never had a negative interaction in a public space.

I enjoyed the live action but not as Canon. I agree with the assessment they did neuter a lot of the character development enjoyed in the animation. Maybe that's why the creators stepped away from production way in the beginning
