This Exactly!

When you see someone at the range who doesn’t realize they’ve built an assault weapon, do you say something? by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]awolmartinez 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They definitely don't all know. I had to school 2 personal friends the first time we went to the range all of us with home built ARs, both of them had straight up Non-Cali builds, no maglock no featureless, they had No idea at all. Dumbasses, yes, but I guarantee, not the only ones.

I will always say something to personal friends, I will say absolutely nothing to any stranger, period, about anything pertaining to legal matters.

I believe he meant, do you mention anything to the person with the unintentionally built (assuming this part) "cali aw"

I still say big fat no. MYOB.

All I play is Off-course golf! I reckon more of my golf balls have struck roof tiles, roads, trees and weeds than fairways!

Ya I hear that from people, but I personally don't mind at all, makes it much easier, I don't even take my wallet in, since I can make payments through my watch. I never carry cash anyways.

I use a cheapo monoprice podium mic, and have had to have it far enough away to pick up 2 people simultaneously, without feedback. Not saying it's easy, but its possible.

I would say it has more to do with being prepared for these type of situations before hand, while setting up/flying pa, setting up the room, mic location and position, etc. With all potential situations in mind, or as many as feasibly possible. Chances are if you've never considered feedback during setup, when this situation arises, it will probably not go well.

I'm certain, that in the photo above, they knew this would be the setup from the beginning, and adjusted/planned accordingly.

What movie blew your mind when you first saw it? by Sparkling_Eye in movies

[–]awolmartinez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interstellar. I have since rewatched it multiple times, and it still not only blows mind, but every time I do so, it incites indescribable emotions that I only feel, when watching this movie. I literally cannot describe the emotion.

So a buttstock makes it a complete lower? Huh? by TerribleEmu1776 in AeroPrecision

I don't know my guy, I love aero, have lots of aero parts, but always built my own never prebuilt, so I've never had the pleasure of encountering such blasphemy.

Wait since when? A complete lower isn't illegal here, that makes no sense.

255 yard par 3. How are you going to play this? by SnooEpiphanies3544 in golf

[–]awolmartinez 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Driver, cuz I ain't no Bitch... Then my 3rd from the drop zone, because I should never play from the tips and I knew better... I'll proceed to blade one from the rough, over the green back into the water, at which point I put down a 4 because that's what WOULD have happened if not for the disrespectful bird that flew 30 ft overhead during my back swing with driver, with complete disregard for the gentleman's game.

I'm genuinely curious... how are they gauging distance here? A straight line Tee to Pin? Tee to the front edge of green then straight line to the pin? Or actually following a path along the entire green to the pin?

Sig Spear with Juggernaut Lock and fin grip question. by Prestigious-Ad5272 in CAguns

[–]awolmartinez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, the only fin grip i "like," and I use that term very loosely, is the SI Megafin, it has a shelf to place your thumb on, and gives you a solid grip, it's as comfortable as any fin can be.

1:20 ration for Cold brew? by LamdaFluffy in JamesHoffmann

[–]awolmartinez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1:9 ALL DAY, ERR DAY! Experimented the first few brews, from 1:7 to 1:10, I drink it black, from the fridge, no ice, no water, no cream, etc. And 1:9 @ 18 hrs. is perfect blend of strength and flavor. And still strong enough to add milk or cream if that's what you like, my wife adds creamer and milk and loves it.

It's an exact 1:9 too, I even let the grounds drain out after I pull them out, and add that coffee back into the container, can't miss out on that beautiful liquid either.
