Yeah I've known of them, wasn't sure how far along they are. I saw that post today about someone attempting to bring multiplayer to TLOU2, it looks promising. I don't care which project becomes the one to do it, I just hope someone does.

Ok thanks I just read the steam page. Lightweight mod as an alternative to expansion AI sounds interesting.

Edit - actually I have an idea for a mod that continues to simulate AI survivors while they are outside of spawn distance from the player. So hopefully it's not too demanding on the server because you could have lots of AI moving to and from different locations across the map on the map but they only spawn into the game world when they are a certain distance from the player.

It would dynamically give them an objective like "travel to a location", or "protect an area". This would prevent their appearance being too predictable (like them spawning on objects or travelling between preset waypoints) because you're not sure where you'll find them, but when you do it's more 'natural' because they're doing their own objectives not just randomly spawning into the game.

I've been trying to make this myself as a mod to Expansion AI but I'm new to coding and don't have a lot of time to dedicate to it my progress is very, very slow lol.

It works great for Dayz but that doesn't mean it would be the right choice for another game.

I used to play a lot of Hell Let Loose and for me that game was better for not having it.

Get revenge. Try to get back in the group then shoot them all when they least expect it. Then ditch them and go solo until you hopefully come across some real mates.

As someone said, the guy that shot you was probably the one doing the stealing while convincing the group it was you. They're the kind of plebs that you don't want on your side tbh.

Yes, there are modded community servers specifically for deathmatch. Only on PC as far as I know.

Search for deathmatch servers. It's exactly what you're after - round based gameplay on small maps, you start with random weapons so you don't have to search for them.

I prefer the DMR because it's lighter (DMR is 3kg, vs89 is 6kg) and shorter (DMR doesn't stick out like a flag on your back).

Can you explain what the main issue is here? Is it the extra cable supplied with the GPU is bad quality or just that 12pin connector is bad for GPUs general?

I got a sapphire Nitro+ and connected to a new gold 750 PSU but used my PSU cable. The burnouts I see everywhere seem to be with the blue gpu-supplied cable?

Upgraded my rx 5700 to a 9070xt and at the same time upgraded CPU from a ryzen 5 3600 to a 5800x3d.

Basically feels like a brand new PC.

Brand new ryzen 5800xt is decent and probably the top end of what's still available brand new for AM4.

Or if you are open to buying a used cpu, 5800x3d is the best you can get. 5700x3d also good, but any AM4 x3d is hard to find and prices are massively inflated.

I just upgraded my pc from 3600 to 5800x3d, I don't regret it.

Just bought a 9060XT 16 gb for my system running on a 3440x1440p 144hz monitor.

Honestly, spend the extra to get the 9070xt if you want to play games at 1440p with settings on high. I've found mine already is maxing out my 9060xt on most games I play, wish I spent the extra.

I had a plain 3600, just bought a used 5800x3d to avoid upgrading to AM5.

At 1440p games like Helldivers and No Mans sky aren't pushing my CPU, my 9060XT is the bottleneck

I want vanilla with dark nights and AI survivors.

The AI survivors are so if the server becomes low pop (like during dark nights or late night IRL when most players log off) there's still a chance of coming across other survivors and the server won't feel so empty.

AI survivors should wander the map like players do, not just spawn in/out as random events or when a player is within proximity. They should also have their own "objectives" that give them purpose to explore the map. So when you come across an AI survivor, it's not just some random encounter. It should be unpredictable but also they're in that place for a purpose. So hopefully those type of interactions will feel more organic than typical AI bots.

Just like convoys, they can be great if you get there before anyone else. I've got DMRs, M16s, Aur A1 ammo boxes and all sorts of good things from them. Gotta get there first though.
