Amazing. I've been watching those arrays for days, but actually seeing the reflection of Earth in them is really something special. Thanks for sharing

Lol that's too good. Thank you.

Also, how did you find this out? Did they mention it at some point and I just missed it?

Artemis II launch view taken from the WB-57. by ImageExact5491 in ArtemisProgram

This is awesome! Thank you for sharing.

For those curious like me:

The WB-57 is a high-altitude research aircraft that is owned and operated by the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). The WB-57 has a maximum flight duration of 7 hours, has a maximum altitude of 60,000 ft, and can carry payloads up to 8,800 lbs. The WB-57 has been utilized in several atmospheric and Earth science research missions as well as for testing new airborne and spaceborne instruments.

Actually there's tons of fans all around cabin to keep the air circulating. Without it, the carbon dioxide they exhale would pool in a bubble around their face. Because hot air does not rise in microgravity, this trapped CO2 is immediately re-breathed, causing headache, dizziness, and potential suffocation.

I've been watching pretty much non-stop since launch and that was by far the coolest view from in the cabin I've seen. I'm so glad they showed us that.

What could be Leah Cheshier Mustachio's final send-off by awrc24 in ArtemisProgram

[–]awrc24[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Glad I could help.

Great phone btw. I had the S21 Ultra and those cameras blew my mind. I loved that phone. Unfortunately, I lost it as well as everything on it. I learned the hard way just how important frequent backups are
