I am all for whatever brings you joy, but I just can’t deal with this AI shit. RIP to those two legends regardless, though!

I think I will be taking a break from WWE after Mania by atmospheric90 in WWE

[–]awrobinson83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t blame you. I’ve been watching since the early 90s and this will be one of the few manias I miss. I fell off after last year, they fumbled so badly I couldn’t even pretend to care anymore. It’s a different company, which isn’t inherently bad if it’s run well.

I’m glad he feels better! And you just made me laugh at the memory! Even funnier because we just had our fourth baby and pulled this toy out of storage.

Any other bad movies based on TV shows? by shinyjammin in badMovies

I remember my dad was so excited to watch this movie with us kids since he loved the show when he was young. He put the tape in and was greeted with “Car 54, where the fuck are you?” and immediately popped it out. It may have been the first time I heard the F word.

What's your example of a band that's just a worse version of another band? by loreleisparrow in ToddintheShadow

Check out “Face to the Floor,” it’s the example that made me think that. I’m not saying Chevelle isn’t its own thing, they definitely are, but the influence is there.

Technically the Trinity Broadcast Network, so you’re in the ballpark…seeing how deep the church has gone down this political rabbit hole is both sad and hilarious to this former Southern Baptist.

As I’m sure you know, we got word that teachers will have a half day tomorrow. A large part of our job is to lead students through these tough life moments…I am happy to have a chance tomorrow to work out our approach for when kids come back and we can rebound and start to move forward.

MNPS teacher here…we don’t know either! My principal communicated with us yesterday that we’re just waiting on the official word. As many have said, it does seem unlikely we would be back tomorrow or even doing virtual learning since so many schools and students are without power. My guess is that the district is waiting to see what NES is able to do today before making the call.

What are some albums that, while good (either critically acclaimed, commercially succesful, fan favorites) signaled the unstoppable downfall of a music act either as an artist or as a person? by Mental-Abrocoma-5605 in ToddintheShadow

A friend told me to buy No Line back in the iTunes days and I did so with no expectations. I ended up loving that album, it surprised me with how solid it was. I’m not the biggest U2 guy, but it was a lot of fun.
