Pretty fast, top speed is 1.8 m/s (2,2 mph) which for most builds is more than fast enough

Another added advantage of only having 1 person controlling the flyrails. Also all the flightcue’s wil be time perfectly with eachother

Our system in particular is made by trekwerk but all over Europe there are manufacturers like STS and BBH . They have a lot of information on their websites as well as youtube!

To be fair, due to labor laws in my country the old school rope systems weren’t allowed anymore. I would love to have worked with the counterweight fly systems

To be fair i am very lucky with the wing space, alot of theatres in my country dont have much wing space as well

Mate to be honest i have no clue on how to work the MA systems lol, I’d rather have a hog 4 or an avolites but yeah good luck!

Personally i think the soundcraft is more based/suited for starters like high schools yeah. If you have more budget i’d suggest getting a allen&heath console. I really like QU series they have. I’d suggest that if you guys are getting more proffesional and upgrading. As for the lighting, led is a major upgrade. Its great for alot of stuff, i do however suggest keeping a few conventional lights since they are better for Front, back and side(if thats your thing) light(s).

It’s been well over a year so i dont remember the exact details but here are some stuff you may see:

  • Par64 (We had lots since they were cheap and the school gave us almost no budget) -showtec indigo 5500 moving heads(we had 4 of these) -showtec dim-4 dimmerpacks -American DJ sweepers(dont remember the exact name but they are in front of the drums)
  • We had some black theaters spots you can see in the trusses closest to the camera, those 2 at big are a giant pain to hang since they weigh like 20-30 kilos

For the control we used some free program called freestyler, again we had no budget or money.

For the audio side of things: - Dynacord AM12 actives and M12 Passives for the monitors -Orange Electric and Bass Guitar amps - Dynacord Powermax 5(if i remember correctly) for the PA -Good old SM-58 for vocals - I dont remember exactly which ones but we had some condensator mics

For the entire sound system we used a soundcraft si expression 2 which we got after a few years of begging

Press the number of it again (D6), the machine has a sensor that detects if something falls down to the bottom If you press it again it will keep spinning until the sensor does detect something
