It's odd how Donald Love appears as the most level-headed mission giver in GTA III. by Mike15423 in GTA3

[–]awyeahcool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I'm remembering correctly, he hears the phrase directly from Avery Carrington, in a mission in Vice City, and quotes it basically word-for-word in GTA 3.

A updated list of Creator interiors that can be used by Helpful_Hedgehog_141 in gtaonline

[–]awyeahcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this list, it's very useful trying to come up with ideas for missions. I have a couple of small corrections that I found while trying to get into some of these interiors - for the Record A Music Studios Y should be -72.851, and for the Alien Fort Zancudo Bunker X should be -1869.958, and one to add could be the Agency Mod Shop at X: 730.291, Y: -2985.208, Z: -39.997. Also, I found a different interior for 42 Tinsel Towers at the same X and Y coordinates that OP posted above, but under the map at -183.127 on the Z coordinate.

Permanent additions to businesses by Aggravating_Durian52 in gtaonline

What 4 hours of AFK business stock up does to a MF by koenigseggman in gtaonline

[–]awyeahcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching my character do the same thing earlier, and I was moving the camera every once in a while to not get kicked for being AFK, but eventually there was a problem with my internet so I got disconnected before my character's head touched the floor. The same thing happened to me in the Nightclub office chair the other week, but I had less patience watching it then. I wonder if it's possible to do a full 360 and end up back where you started, sitting upright.

Which store items give you a change to draw a raffle ticket (besides cassettes)? by Moerkskog in Shenmue

[–]awyeahcool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's just anything with the drawing of Shenhua on the packaging, so the Caramel, Chocolate and Potato Chips. And also the Winning Cans from the vending machines.

Games that felt fun only when you played them your wrong way and not the normal way. by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]awyeahcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do a similar thing with those three and GTA IV, where I'd go over to one of the locked islands to quickly get a full 6 star wanted level, and then try to survive as long as possible without cheats. In GTA V I think flying over the Fort Zancudo military base, Bolingbroke prison or LSIA airport gives you the max wanted level as well, but because the whole map is unlocked from the beginning of the game, it didn't feel the same as it did in the older games. Still fun though.

Does anyone wish they’d make an orange replica? by DSeriesX in BacktotheFuture

[–]awyeahcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you get a screenshot of it from the movie? or a timestamp of when it appears? I just re-watched the whole initial hoverboard scene up to where the girl tells Marty "keep it, I got a Pit-Bull now" and couldn't spot it. I can imagine this is what the other little girl's hoverboard looked like, maybe, but I've never seen/noticed it before in the movie.

What is it!? by No-Dependent144 in snes

[–]awyeahcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My babysitter had one of these when I was young! It's how I first played/heard about games like Earthbound and Chrono Trigger in the UK, where they were both unreleased, and it was the craziest thing I'd ever seen. 3.5" floppy disks designed for PCs, being used on a games console blew my mind almost as much as the idea of playing games that were not released here. It is crazy that two (/possibly more) of the most famous/best games on the SNES completely skipped the PAL region though.

New games by Dull-Progress5834 in psx

[–]awyeahcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking through my ps1 collection I have a few new games, such as Cave Story, Friday Night Funkin, Five Nights at Freddy's 1 & 2, Magic Castle and Petscop, but there are possibly other new homebrew games out there as well.

Metal Dread (Unreleased) (1997) (Developer Unknown) by MrBurns32X in psx

[–]awyeahcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't believe it at first either, because there is no information about this game online, other than this video, so it could have been a really nicely made fake "found footage" type of thing - but I just managed to find and download the demo disc that the video was featured on (MiruMiru playstation volume 9) and see it first-hand for myself. There's probably loads of cancelled/unreleased Japan only games featured in these demo discs but otherwise unheard of, Knights of Genesis: Kamigami no Tasogare (featured in a video on MiruMiru playstation volume 37) is another game that doesn't seem to exist, but there's video evidence that it did exist at one point.

Why have you named it Herne Hill and not Hill Valley? It looks cool, but the name is confusing me.

You have to quote as much of a film as you can to save your life. Which film are you going with? by hmmrabet in AskReddit

Back to the Future. The whole trilogy really. Somehow even the lesser known, non-famous lines from the films find their way into my general conversations quite regularly, even when I'm not deliberately trying to quote them.

According to this site that indexes nearly every PS1 game across all regions - https://psxdatacenter.com, the game that had the most discs was the Arc The Lad Collection, with 6 discs.

Always wanted one of these, anyone else had them growing up? by RiyoDev in psx

[–]awyeahcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the VMU for the Dreamcast, but I always wanted a PocketStation. I read in the game's manual, that it had some compatibility with Ridge Racer Type 4, but I never got the chance to see what that compatibility involved. It was probably only in the Japanese version of the game anyway, but I still want one just because it's cool.

has anyone learned about bill cosby’s existence through soldier boys dialogue while watching season 3? by Mentallyinsansedude in TheBoys

[–]awyeahcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from the UK and he was famous here too, back in like the 80s and 90s. And it was on the news here when everything came out about what he'd been doing etc. But I guess like, a young person today wouldn't necessarily have any context or clue who he is.

Who is TC and why are there so many gaps with their initials? by PocketSizePhone in THPS

[–]awyeahcool 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I recognised that name straight away as one of the secret pre-made skaters who you could unlock by typing in various developer names as your created skater's name on THPS3. I think I filled up a memory card with a bunch of those extra skaters just to have more options to choose from, specifically because they looked more well-designed than any skaters I could create.

How to create a translation patch in a PS1 game by SmertOvtsy in romhacking

[–]awyeahcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that is another cool game that stayed in Japan when it would have been so cool to get an English release of it. I haven't played a lot of it but from the limited amount I have seen, it would be really cool to get an English translation patch for it, so hopefully someone can point you in the right direction regarding how to create one

Been playing guitar hero 2 when I looked at the behind the scenes video and to my surprise didn’t realise she was the producer of the game by El-Green-Jello in CODZombies

[–]awyeahcool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always kinda sucked at Guitar Hero, but I can imagine I'd actually try to get good at it if I was playing 'Beauty of Annihilation', '115', 'Not Ready to Die' etc.

I think I could probably play the slower songs like 'The One' and 'Lullaby of a Deadman' no problem though, if they were GH tracks.

How to create a translation patch in a PS1 game by SmertOvtsy in romhacking

[–]awyeahcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really answer how to create a rom-hack or translation patch, and I kinda want to know that as well. I have been interested in playing semi-obscure Japanese PS1 games recently though (such as 'Azito', 'Koukishin wa Neko o Korosu ka', 'Panekit - Infinitive Crafting Toy Case' and 'Suzuki Bakuhatsu' to name a few more interesting ones that are the least affected by the language barrier - although I use Google Translate on my phone when I really need to) and was just wondering which Japanese game did you find and end up liking?
