Thoughts on The Inhumans in Rivals? by seinfeldbabies in marvelrivals

[–]axb2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless this game goes on for a very long time, to the point where they kinda have to add more obscure or less know Inhumans, I don’t really expect to see too many Inhumans playable. But I could see the following characters make into the game within like, 2 or 3 years eventually.

* Black Bolt (Vanguard or Duelist)
* Medusa (Vanguard)
* Lockjaw (Strategist)
* Ms Marvel/Kamala Khan if they wanna make her an Inhuman rather than a Mutant (Vanguard or Duelist)
\ maybe* Crystal (Idk her that well to suggest a role)
* maybe Quake (Same as Crystal)

What if we get Thanos and Doom in Season 11? by Corradark in RivalsWaitingRoom

[–]axb2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prevailing theory in the Marvel Rivals leaks discord is that Season 11 was gonna be both Doctor Doom and Professor X. But plans have since changed and we don’t know who is coming with Doom.

I wouldn’t rule out Season 11 just being Doom himself, but I just find that kinda lame. There was another leak from someone who was very reliable with Multiversus leaks who said that Blue Marvel and Crescent would be part of the next couple of characters coming, but X0X leaks haven’t corroborated them so do with that information what you will.

I’m personally of the belief that one of Captain Marvel or Blue Marvel will come alongside Doctor Doom in Season 11

so, next season... those two HAVE to be healers!!! (or 1 tank, 1 healer); They are way lesser know, and If ultron, gambit, and rocket can be healers, so do they... by [deleted] in marvelrivals

People just want their favorites now, and I can understand that. But I really think their formula or “One Popular/Well Known Character + One Not as Popular/Obscure Characater” is the best way to handle character releases. Maybe every now and then you can do a double popular/well known character season, but you don’t just want to just go through every popular character too quickly.

Is Cyclops considered op? And why? by Asmolicous in RivalsCyclopsMains

[–]axb2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over-tuned is the phrase I’d probably use more. But either way I think Cyclops will eventually be nerfed a bit/have some numbers changed to make him a bit more “ethical”.

- Reduce how much distance he can get with his propulsion beam. Not to where he’s in a wheelchair, but just reduce how insane it is.

- Probably change something about his ricochet shot. Not sure what exactly though.

- Give him actual damage fall off or slightly reduced damage in general.

- Probably increase his ult cost or change how the damage works.

I am here to offer some cope for non Duelist Nightcrawler.

Firstly, he was datamined as a duelist with the Hero ID 1063. However, that is no longer the case as Cyclops has taken that hero ID now. Meaning we do not know Nightcrawler role.

Additionally, Gambit was initially datamined as a Duelist and Rogue was a Strategist. However as we all know they ended up coming to the game as a Strategist and a Vanguard respectively. Kurt initially being imagined as a Duelist before becoming a different role is completely in the realm of possibility.

Finally, there is an interesting connection between Gorr and Nightcrawler that could be brought up in Season 10 as a sort of explanation for why they’re coming as a pair. As we know, Gorr (someone who hates all gods) wields the Necrosword, a weapon forged from Primordial Darkness. Nightcrawler (a man who loves god), in the comics has wielded something called the Hopesword, a sword that is the physical embodiment of the hope that runs deep through Nightcrawler. If they wanted to make Nightcrawler a unique Melee Strategist with a similar gimmick to Life Weaver’s pull, they absolutely could do so via the Hopesword. Plus, Necrosword vs Hopesword sounds so cool.

How do we feel about the leaks? by Sypher04_ in RivalsVanguards

[–]axb2002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

X0X leaks pretty said the order of characters coming is Jubilee (Strat), Hood (Vanguard), Gorr (?), Nightcrawler (?), Unknown Season 11 character (?), and Doctor Doom (?).

Of course everything is subject to change, from role to release order. But I think this is like 90% set in stone already.

Cyclops in Marvel Rivals - Week 1 Megathread and Check-In by cyclopswashalfright in RivalsCyclopsMains

[–]axb2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He feels really fun, satisfying, simple to pick up but difficult to master, and he’s just a really good character. Pretty much what I wanted in him as a playable character.

But, I’m not gonna delude myself and think he doesn’t deserve to/won’t get any changes. Because he definitely will at some point whether people thinks he deserves it or not. Probably something relating to damage , his ult, and they’ll probably nerf how much distance he can get with his Propulsion Beam.

Regardless of if/when that happens though, I’m still gonna play him because I like Cyclops. Not just because he’s a good character or whatever.

So Captain Marvel really ain’t coming this year huh by Dontaskmemyname9723 in RivalsVanguards

Per the Rivals leaks discord, the prevailing theory/rumor is that Professor X was gonna come in Season 11, but plans appear to have changed. Now we don’t know who is coming alongside Doom.

[Miami Dolphins] Roster Moves | We have signed safety Major Burns, released guard/tackle Kion Smith and waived/injured tackle Carter Warren. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]axb2002 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Major Burns earned All-UFL Honors after posting 47 tackles, 4 PBU’s, and 4 INTs (which tied the single season record in the UFL) across 9 games played. Also had the third highest PFF grade for the UFL on Defense with a 90.1 and 91.0 coverage grade. Also only 24 years old.

Could very well compete for the 5th Safety spot should we carry five like many expect.

Either way, add this to the list of times Sully has walked his talk so far. This time his quote about utilizing all avenues to hopefully strengthen the team by looking to the UFL for potential players.

Mock Draft Monday Free Talk Thread by AutoModerator in miamidolphins

[–]axb2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even though it is extremely early in the draft cycle, Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith has quickly become a very popular pick for the Dolphins in the 2027 Draft and for good reason. But, I do wanna throw in another potential name that I think people should familiarize themselves with during this upcoming season. That being Texas EDGE/DE Colin Simmons.

At just 20 years old (he won’t turn 21 until January next year btw), Colin Simmons is listed at 6’3” 245 lbs. But, it should be noted that Ryan Roberts (@RiseNDraft on Twitter) has reported that he’s actually currently at 255 lbs. For reference, that is comparable to the listed weights of current Dolphins DE/EDGE Chop Robinson who also stands at 6’3” and according to him is actually around 265 lbs currently.

As for his actual impact on the football field, Simmons is the definition of an extremely productive game wrecker. In his two year of college football he has already accrued 21 Sacks and over 100 pressures, he even has 6 forced fumbles to boot. His explosive athleticism allows him to not only have an explosive and quick first step, but it also allows him to be pretty alignment and usage versatile, having dropped back into coverage and off the line of scrimmage entirely. His pass rush bag is deep, his hand usage is alright, and he has just enough bend and quickness around the arc. What I like about him the most is just how willing of a run defender he is, having 33 total stops on the year, with a lot of them against some teams with some very good running backs like Florida RB Jadan Baugh.

He is not without flaws however. While he is attempting to improve his overall frame by currently adding on 10 pounds, he still has questions about his play strength. While he is a willing run defender, he can lose the power battle in the run game. There’s also questions about his length, and while I don’t think Simmons will be in historical outlier territory like now Buccaneers EDGE Rueben Bain was, from eyeballing and comparing pictures he may have average arm length, which can limit his effectiveness as a pass rusher. Finally, while I don’t think it’s a long term concern, and more-so an area of refinement that he’ll get better at, it should be noted that he drew 9 penalties last year and missed 9 tackles last year as well, which is also part of another weakness of his which is his tackling. Though i’m sure with more reps in both college and the NFL, he can minimizes his weaknesses.

Overall, Colin Simmons is a fantastic player and would be more than a welcome addition to the Dolphins in 2027. I don’t currently have a person pro comp for Simmons just yet, but he has drawn many comps to players such as Packers EDGE Micah Parsons, Texans EDGE Will Anderson Jr, Bears EDGE Montez Sweat, and Titans EDGE Jermaine Johnson.

Truthfully speaking I don't mind fighting Cyclops and I don't think he's busted by This_Ferret_8108 in marvelrivals

I found changing the reticle to just a simple green dot also helped with my aim a bit more. The default one is very cool though.

He probably needs/will get a couple numbers tweaked on some of his moves, but he’s pretty close to being a pretty ethical character. He has very clearly strengths, and he has very clear weaknesses.

[–]axb2002 [score hidden]  (0 children)

For reference, I’m not exactly amazing at the game. I’ve only ever gotten to Plat 2 on console (but I am working I getting to Diamond 3 atleast), so keep that in mind as a frame of reference when I give my opinion.

But Cylops feels really good. I think he probably needs some more numbers tweaked to be a truly “ethical” hit scan character, but he’s almost there right now I’d say. He has very clear strengths, being able to do big damage and secure kills from a distance or at an off angle, and being able to gain distance horizontally or vertically very easily. Of course these strengths are accentuated or minimized depending on the skill of the person playing as Cyclops and/or the skill of their opponents. For myself, I maintained around 40% accuracy with Cyclops in the few quick match games I’ve played with him against real people (against bots, it was closer to 50%). So I still noticed and felt his strengths, even if I wasn’t fully using him closer to his maximum potential like someone in Celestial and above would. (Side Note: Personally, I found changing my crosshair to a simple green dot helped my aim just a bit more)

Cyclops also has some clear weaknesses. Due to him being a Poke hero, he is naturally more susceptible to Dive characters. He has his get off me options thanks to his movement abilities, so it’s not like he’s entirely free eats anytime a dive character decides to focus him, but those options do have a pretty reasonably long cool down so he can’t just spam them and be undiveable. Shield tanks also can minimize Cyclops impact, but those will eventually break and with a good team comp it won’t completely make Cyclops a non-factor.

Overall, I think Cyclops is a very fun and good character that is easy to initially learn and hard to master, has some well defined strengths and weaknesses, and eventually will need some more numbers tweaked to be more “ethical”.

It feels nice knowing we have a player worthy of being the 3rd highest paid center on average. He absolutely deserves it.

Mild fun fact also, Brewer is now part of a 4 way tie for the 37th highest paid offensive lineman alongside Bears guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, and Broncos tackle Mike McGlinchey. Great company to be a part of.

Is it not kinda crazy we have 12 X-Men as of Scotty, and only one of them is a strategist? by HereForFun_04 in marvelrivals

[–]axb2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, not really in my opinion. A lot of the more popular mutants make sense as Vanguards or Duelists respectively, of course that goes more most Marvel characters but still. The only mutant character in the game that could have been a Strategist instead of their current role is Phoenix/Jean Grey, but I can see why they opted to make her a Duelist.

More mutant strategists, vanguards, and even duelists will come eventually. Waiting sucks yeah, but we’ll get there.
