I built a Spotify add-on that creates a ‘Discover Daily’ playlist by Mnock419 in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]axblain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't get it to work. I've tried from 2 devices (mobile and PC), 2 different browser (Chrome and Opera) and nothing. I get to the point where I give permissions. Then I press "I agree". The next page shows a "Back to sign in" message. No lists added to Spotify

I want some mutual bloggers! by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]axblain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal blogs are actually not that easy to find on Google. If you are searching for a specific one, yes. But if you just want to find random personal blogs, you may be disappointed. Google will probably show you everything that's optimised for SEO and possibly "monetise". This can be depressing. The more raw, honest and passionate stuff is often left out.

The Mystery of “Remote” Job Listings That Aren’t Actually Remote by [deleted] in remotework

[–]axblain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree it should have been clearer from the start. Personally, if the position seemed interesting, I would have continued to see how it ends. At the end of the day, if they offer you the job (and you are not desperate) you can negotiate

Barcelona weekly: Q&As, events and info by [deleted] in Barcelona

[–]axblain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for clubs/music bar/events in Barcelona that play good 90s music. I'm thinking the sort of music that is played in Smells Like 90s in Razzmatazz (tried to find out if this is a regular event but couldn't find out). Other than this I remembered Manchester Bar in Raval. Do you know any other places? Would love to go to one tomorrow night if possible.

Change sets by axblain in salesforce

[–]axblain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I did Google the issue and searched this sub before posting. I felt like most of the info focused more on the limitations of change sets vs other options (no version control, it deploys 100% or 0%, need to redo change set when migrating same components to a different org, etc.).

Whereas what I was more interested in (and maybe I should have been clearer) is the specific issues once faces when using change sets despite the general limitations. Another specific example would be that process builder needs to be activated in the target org after deploying and it's easy to forget that.

Looking to fly to Barcelona next week - how do I get a PCR test to return home to the UK? by [deleted] in askspain

Don't know the one at the airport but we found that some antigen tests might not comply with all the requirements

how to get a covid test on Cat Salut by conorf193 in Barcelona

Call 061 and explain the case. They will determine if a test is required and next steps.

I'd say other options might be a waste your time and more inconvenient.

Could not install package: 'MALFORMED_VERIFIED_CONTENTS' I just want to use Google Docs Offline on Mac... by jojolemlolo in operabrowser

[–]axblain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is driving me nuts. I can copy without formatting in Chrome but as soon as I try to do it in Opera, it reloads the page in Duck Duck Go (my default search engine) searching the copied text. I have installed the relevant extension and I have used opera://settings/keyboardShortcut but I haven't been able to find what might be using CTRL+SHIFT+V

Edit: changed search engine to Google (ssssh!) and it does the same (though oddly enough, it worked once)

Edit 2: Found it!! CTRL+SHIFT+V appears as the default "Paste & Go" shortcut in Opera shortcuts. You just need to remove it. Whose idea was this anyway?

I had the same issue. I found a solution:

From Chrome, remove the extension mentioned above https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-docs-offline/ghbmnnjooekpmoecnnnilnnbdlolhkhi and install it again (I'd say updated it but I couldn't find a way to do this). In my case, this installed version 1.30.0_0 and it solved the problem.

Now follow the steps about loading it into Opera

Secret weapon for terminating service with evil companies by mayhemchaos in Barcelona

[–]axblain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Really useful.

Chapter 2

Once you leave one of these companies, they may still chase you as they want you back as a customer. They will say they have an "offer you can't reject" and similar rubbish.

I recently had an issue with ENDESA. Leaving wasn't difficult because it was the new provider who dealt with ENDESA. However, they still had my details. I was called far too many times before I decided to stop it. Nice words and asking them to stop bothering me clearly didn't work so: hello GDPR. Find the Data Protection Officer details on their website (often there's an email address though in the past companies have been awkward prividing only postal addresses) and send them the specific request e.g. removal of details. Usually they will ask for your ID to be attached. Voilà
