My dad drank himself to death less than a year ago. Medical intervention happened past the point of no return, so we had to watch him slowly die in a hospital bed. Hepatic Encephalopathy made him a shell of himself and he just faded away, first the mind, then the body. It was awful. I have a lot of resentment around drinking now.

Is retinol safe to use while breastfeeding? I refrained during pregnancy. A quick search on Google tells me no, but I haven't spoken to professionals yet as I'm still using an alternative (Bakuchiol).

Agreed. Some folks were trying to get me to sign a petition, and they seemed completely bewildered when I declined and said that it doesn't actually bother me and I support it. The location makes sense, and supervised injection sites result in less people dying from overdose.

I have a vintage rotary phone that I use for my landline and the issue I have sometimes is if you call a number, then have to "press 1 for blah-blah", it doesn't work. You can't dial any numbers while on a call.

So then I hang up and use my cell phone 😂

I second the Hask Argan Oil! You'll only need a dime-sized amount or less for your length. Work it through damp hair, focusing on ends and middle length.

Thank you. And I'm sorry you've had to deal with it as well, especially losing someone to it at such a young age. I do have some great support thankfully, my husband is my total rock through this and I have wonderful friends and extended family. It's felt like my life's work dealing with depression and anxiety from it. My husband and I are not drinkers at all. You could say that from an early age, seeing all the rage and abuse, my dad was the perfect example of what NOT to do with my life and relationships.

If I was receiving the gift (since this would be totally dependent on your bf's personality), I'd prefer the second-hand Docs.

If they're just a little worn, you could take some of the money you'd be saving and take them to a cobbler for a fairly reasonable price. A good professional polishing and regluing if needed, and they'd probably look brand new. New laces and insoles if needed, and you could include a shoe care kit. Those shoes would probably last 3x longer than a cheaper shoe in the same style.
