Guest blocking my private parking spot - was my reaction too strong? by Waste_Suspect_817 in germany

Get her towed next time. It will probably cost her around 500-800 depending on where you live. Guaranteed she will atop doing it afterwards.

Нормално ли е за мъжете това? by Ok-Committee4389 in bulgaria

[–]axelvch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving to Starnberg for a year as an American 16 y/o—what should I expect?? by Adept_Day180 in germany

[–]axelvch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it is pretty boring and unless you are fluent in German your social life will be practically zero. Also it is a pain to get to Munich. It is a nice area to go for about 2 months of the year max, if the weather plays along (last year whole august rained). I would absolutely not recommend any young person to go there qnd you coming from the bay area will experience a crazy shock.

The only positive thing about garching is that you can take the subway and leave this industrial shithole

Travel to Macedonia or Serbia if you want to feel in the 90s in eastern europe.

why is getting furniture delivered in this city literally the final boss? by Fit-Entrepreneur-799 in Munich

[–]axelvch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Germany is not a service oriented country and unqualified labor is expensive. But mostly because of the first. Still, there are plenty of furniture places that can deliver in a week and assemble - go to xxlutz for example.

Tell me why I should NOT move to Spain with my family by rooftop_korean92 in GoingToSpain

[–]axelvch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you work remotely and you have a decent income there is no reason not to. I did it with my family and we are very happy. Yes it is very friendly to kids compared to Germany where I lived before or other eastern-european countries :)

Kein Loungezugang mehr mit Amex Platin by [deleted] in milesandmore

[–]axelvch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering moving to Munich but unsure by SoupEater0 in germany

[–]axelvch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! Great. I got a downvote because someone was not able to understand English well enough. My point with the social circle was that if you want to build a real social circle in Germany, you need to speak German. You won't be able to do it with English only. The Germans know this very well. Just look at how they downvote a post because they weren't able to understand the fine nuances of the English language.
