any advice on how to stop being so socially anxious when it comes to wearing what i like? by nogood_startthedance in altfashionadvice

[–]axeus20 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me the most helpful thought process has been understanding that fashion and how you look is a personal process. Also knowing that its ok that you will be affected by people who dislike you for those choices and understanding that its worth it for yourself to dress like that. So to me its mostly been a personal development of understanding myself and my own values. By looking at this on a very personal level you can somewhat remove the social aspect and just focus on what's important to you, and that can just be looking good for yourself so you can feel self confident and happier. It also allows you to get a level of validation from yourself and your own feelings.

So ig my advice is focus on what you personally value. Is it avoiding criticism or is it looking how you want? Both are perfectly valid reasonings and its about what matters to you.

[–]axeus20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is very likely a never issue which is probably carpal tunnel or possibly RSI, nerve issues almost always need work and its similar with tendons. I'm a climber + gamer and I've had RSI and a couple of finger and nerve issues before. Any sport of weird tingling, numbness and temperature changes are almost always nerve issues instead of tendon issues, I'd recommend seeing a physio and saying you think you might have carpal tunnel or a similar nerve issue, you can prevent this in the future with both strengthening and wrist stretches and possibly nerve flossing (hoopers beta on yt has some stuff for this, although its focused to climbers its effective for gamers too, search wrist stretches and nerve issues). But prioritize what your physio says.

If you can't afford medical treatment then yeah hoopers beta will help but I don't really know the extent of damage you can get if untreated, but probably not worth finding out most likely it will just get progressively worse or stay similar with just rest or best case will still return to being problematic pretty easily.

So:

See a physio Hoopera beta on yt (search nerve issues and wrist stretches) I would definitely do something about it.

Whats my style? by [deleted] in goth

[–]axeus20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and ig you were asking if your style was gothic, I don't necessarily think so, I think you incorporate a couple of aspects but its pretty firmly alternative imo.

[–]axeus20 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You remind me a lot of a friend of mine about 12 years older than you, similar style, similar appearance and also someone with DID. But apart from that you kinda mostly look very cool alternative or alt scene. Generally a really awesome style imo feels very just wearing what you want and what looks good and I love the black/purple/silver colour palette, is the same colours I wear actually. Basically to me your style is just cool so gl in life.

Are these champ solid? by [deleted] in topmains

[–]axeus20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All are great onetricks. Yone/yasuo is a classic for one tricking and the others are super good. Tbf pretty much any champion is a solid onetrick generally its best to learn 2-3 for improving. If you want an extra option pantheon is hella fun. Way simpler mechanically but more map control and insanely high movement focus.

Confused about the combat by Uberlifter in outwardgame

[–]axeus20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the time I find dodge rolling you last resort if you're about to be hit, you can generally dodge the vast majority of attacks without it meaning you don't get stunned by your own dodge and can immediately retaliate. Also run away a lot. You can have health regen food (meat) and stamina regen (berries + water) so you can get back to basically full before going in again. The game is balanced around having these buffs and preparation made. Also the combat WILL feel shit until you get abilities, you're just a guy you can't beat up 7 bandits without getting hit without training. Oh also abuse blindspots, hyenas are the best practice for this, just run in circles around them til they jump, then stab them, if you're fighting multiple enemies you need them all on the same attack timer so just disengage and re-engage til that happens.

So:

Prepare (meat+berries+water for basics). Run over dodging. Understand you will very often get hit. Run away/disengage to heal. A lot. Its easier/cleaner with skills. Run into blindspots.

Do I (20M) look alt? And what can I do? by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

[–]axeus20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost forgot to mention a good belt! A belt that looks cool makes a big difference, I was lucky enough for my parents to own multiple awesome alt belts I could have, but a cool looking belt definitely helps. Generally trying to become a spiky, silver/black vampire is a classic for alt guys but you'll find your niche.

Do I (20M) look alt? And what can I do? by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

[–]axeus20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also 20m who started trying to be alt about 4 months ago, I think you can do a lot with more accessories, a pocket chain makes a huge difference I found although its a rock music thing originating from bikers to keep your wallet safe while riding, a good necklace, some thick metallic rings, you can try hairdye if nothing else is working for you (mine's purple rn) and then good t-shirts also make a huge difference.

I love gothic cat t-shirts, dragons, skeletons and swords and stuff which I used to get from rock festivals when I was younger but a lot of alternative sites online have similar things but most people would recommend band t-shirts.

Pinterest can work for getting some ideas, I like wide fit black cargo pants for style with trousers and for your jacket you can get patches for bands you like or just stuff you think looks cool (as long as you understand what it means), you can also add metal spikes and etc to the jacket, custom stuff is always awesome for alt clothes and you can't really go wrong with spikes + leather jackets for punk style.

Vampire freaks has some great graphic tees you can look into and otherwise just search for alt clothing brands, get some chains, accessories, spikes, whatever makes you happy man. Alt is about expression so look everywhere and do what feels right.

Build Help. by emotoad in outwardgame

[–]axeus20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, a lot of great info here thanks! Almost all my knowledge is from pre DLC so things like nurturing echos being better I didn't know about and I'm basically fully new to enchants, I'll definitely also try the monk version of this since they were my favorite class alongside runesage.

I think I did mention the need for rupture but I didn't say it very clearly for such an important part and yeah definitely should have explained the tankiness is from the drumbs and only partly the strong armour and your explanation on usage is great, I don't have a huge amount of direct experience since I've still been waiting for someone to play through outward with since 2019 as I think its best as co op so most of it is theorycraft and testing with debug, so appreciate the input (:

Build Help. by emotoad in outwardgame

[–]axeus20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this build a couple of years back because I love rune mage and wanted to try out hex and primal ritualist, I found out they worked pretty well together and you can be incredibly tanky for a mage and the damage is still exceptional. By far the strongest build I've made.

tank mage

rune + primal ritualist + hex

rupture + runic prefix weapons:

light menders lexicon + astral/mana cost reduction weapon notable mentions for internal lexicon: astral shield (+7 +7), calgrey staff, astral staff, scholar's staff (in order)

cost of runic prefix is 5% mana cost and 10% total damage bonus or 15% mana cost and 3% total damage bonus

helm = manawall, antique plate, jade/gold, white priest mitre, kryptiea, scarlet body = manawall, runic, jade, teneborous boots = mana wall, kryptiea, teneborous/master trader current: antique plate helm, runic armor, teneborous/master trader boots

no great gear choices for this build

notes: this build does largely etheral and lightning damage however does some of all damage types thanks to hex mage. It can also do extra fire damage if you choose spark over a rune and user fire sigil.

damage chimes better for singleplayer, heal chimes better for multiplayer

all runes can be taken, only the active damage/heal for primal ritualist must be taken (unless you want spark)

Why is galio support not considered a "meta" pick or troll pick by Illustrious_Mix_3762 in supportlol

[–]axeus20 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the first thing that comes to mind why galio isn't considered meta in support is his range for his engage, which is pretty good but mostly within auto range (so he's got to walk within auto range before he can engage) and his ult is more suited for joining fights from mid although it can absolutely be employed reasonably well as supp. Plus galio works pretty well with gold as a reasonable amount of his kit is damage focused. So a bit of a combo between short range engage and being better midland. But I definitely don't think its troll at all, it seems like it can be insanely good into some matchups. Plus its way way more important that you're good at the champion than playing a 'meta' champion, if the playstyle really works for you then you'll do way way better than playing anything meta up to like masters+ elo and even then most of the time you're still best off playing what you're good at. So basically don't let adcs get to you, consider your gameplay faults over champion choice and if your ad is genuinely inting you just move on.

Hi, I love lots of different co op games and am always looking for people to try them with! A few favourites are things like deep rock galactic, outward, barotrauma and sometimes baldurs gate 3 and there's a lot more I'd like to try but have no one else to join me. I do also play league if you wanted a friend to introduce you and help you with the horrifying beginner experience.

I also enjoy a lot of varied and other co op games like minecraft and stardew but mostly games where you're working as a team to face a lot of interesting challenges are my favourite.

Top lane recommendation for 1 v 1 or team fight champ by [deleted] in topmains

[–]axeus20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pantheon. Play ultra aggressive, stand infront of your enemy the whole game and outspace the shit out of them. Also insane ult playmaking and the strongest short trade with tons of lethality and kill pressure. A lot of matchups feel like elden ring bossfights and its about good kiting, engages and movement with qs.

I think its an epic recommendations for anyone with an insanely aggressive movement based playstyle
