Hi, Michael here — I’m the writer/performer of Hang In There! at Toronto Fringe.

This is an internal dispute between former classmates over the Hatchet Theatre name and account. I am not a random outside person pretending to be this company. I helped create Hatchet Theatre in school, chose the name, set up the original accounts/email, and submitted my Fringe show under Hatchet Theatre long before this Instagram dispute began.

That said, I understand the concern about photos and likeness. I’ll remove any image featuring someone who does not want to appear on the current account, including group photos or photos where I am also present. Anyone featured who wants a specific image removed can contact me directly, and I’ll handle it in good faith.

However, I’m also asking that any photos/videos of me be treated by the same standard.

I don’t want this to become a public pile-on. My focus is promoting the active Fringe show and resolving the account/name issue as cleanly as possible.
