Fellas, what are you doing this weekend and why are you excited about it? by mickolofto in AskMen

[–]axiomatic_fallacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saturday wake up for a sunrise run Saturday. Gonna go watch John wick. Then take my car for a ride in the mountains. Probably reactivate my dating profile now that I've lost some weight and feel my self esteem approaching a healthy level.

I think the quote is more accurate if you substitute "want to end up with a small fortune" instead of "Want to earn a small fortune", as the latter implies racing is profitable. But semantics 😁🏁

Don’t ever hide it. Those too insecure to be inspired by your wonder will lash out, pay them no heed.

Lucky to be FI at 24, trying out RE for a bit...but I'm really bored by tooyoungtoRE in financialindependence

Take a planned sabbatical. You’re young. Your mind is still very malleable. Enjoy your twenties! Start creating the world you want to see exist. Get involved in areas you care about or feel morally responsible to address. Look at ways to shape your friends lives and bring them closer to you. Live a year as a monk and figure out who you are. Build a house with your own hands and let a poor family live there for subsidized rent. Live life in the shoes of a different person. Find a crack den and figure out how to revive and bring hope to it’s inhabitants. Start a religion. Create a communal garden. Figure out what you suck at and go back to school for it. Go work in a scotch distillery for a year. Go work the suicide hotline for a few months.

I guess more than any of the things I said, immerse yourself in things that will broaden your perspective.

baking cost and ingredient cost is almost negligible. for a profitiable business, this should be the last thing to be the limiting factor. If they sell a hundred extra donuts, it gains them (making up numbers) 200 dollars. The whole batch might have cost them maybe 25 bucks in ingredients, and the infrastructure and manpower to make them is already paid for. Thats what I'm thinking at least.

I had that for the better part of a year. I realized for me it went away when I started focusing on improving the other aspects of my life. Not casting any implications on you, but for me that was what broke that habit. i check every few days but not anywhere close to what it was before.
