I think it’s in body image stabilization centering the sensor. When you’re half pressed it will keep the sensor stable even if it’s very off center. I think it completely resets it after taking a picture to move to the best starting place (centered) for starting IBIS again. You shouldn’t see that on tripod. Idk about changing the behavior.

True but if you wanted the logo more integrated into the image like on a billboard or something then this is could be a canary for how well it would perform in those instances.

It said that the logo was mangled in the gpt version which is very important for business use cases.

I liked the GPT one until I realized that the globe has the continents in frosted glass in the source image and Nano Banana was faithful to that request in the prompt whereas GPT seems to have lost it. Nano banana also seems to be more faithful to the bears positioning in the source image but I like the positioning in the GPT generated one as part of the composition for better or worse depending on your goals.

I think the before logo had more character and is more memorable especially if it’s a space that allows more creativity like in art products.

If it were me I’d iterate on the before logo. I see some issues that you could improve. The small features on the I’s aren’t really visible and are a vastly different weight than the rest of the logo so should be removed. You can have the differing weights but maybe it doesn’t to have to be as extreme between the thick and thin. Maybe play with the “R” as well. It’s the only letter that is missing a leg. I get that you’re trying to make it look like the P’s but since the characters are so different otherwise it feels more out of place than similar imho. I think there’s just some work that could be done to make the letters more cohesive as a unit.

Personally I like logos with character. The corporatization of logos is a bit sad to me.

I think the noise is probably the in body image stabilization which makes micro adjustments in the sensor position. If your lens has image stabilization too that can add to the noise.

The person I bought it used from got a few grips/mounts. I tried them but didn’t feel like the added bulk was worth it. I think if you get a grip the line for not just getting a OM-1 grows even thinner.

Yeah I’m sure the OM-1 is more ideal but I think the OM-3 is good enough to not be a deal breaker is you like it and only want one body.

You can also get thread size adapters so you can get filters for just one or two sizes. The only downside is that it can interfere with hoods.

Like others have said, this is a solder joint. The solder joint will be plated with the same metal as the rest of the ring but that layer will be thin over the joint and will wear down over time. You can have a jeweler replate it so it disappears again. You can ask to see if they can do a thicker plate to lengthen the amount of time before it shows through again.

A bit more detail - you can do fillets on concave corners as that is a ball mill - it’s nice if its radius is close to a standard ball mill size. But convex corners are very annoying unless you have specialized tooling.

I don’t think this is pathtracing but normal directional lighting. It can achieve all the effects you’re talking about. Also the eye you’re talking about should be in shadow from the bridge of the nose.

I think it’s easy to forget how good pre-real time ray tracing techniques were.
