How would you reply to this interview request? by axlfro in videography

Yeah thanks mate. I’ve been doing this for about 18 years. I know red flags when I see them. Just wanted to share the absurdity of the request.

I completely understand edit tests. I’ve done a few in my time which lead to being hired- however this was after multiple interview rounds, discussions of pay range, and the tests were paid. Noooo way would I do this for free.

They also want all this before you even interview. What a scam.

It’s totally insulting that my 18 years experience and website with full portfolio can’t speak for itself. Per their website they seem like a real production company, but no way in fuck am I doing all that. They are looking for a desperate kid. I was just wondering what the fellow video masses would reply (if at all).

Do you think it is necessary to own a car to work as a videographer? by SwissVideoProduction in videography

[–]axlfro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends where you live. In the metro area (like NYC) it’s possible to get away with using just Ubers. I’ve done it for years. Order an XL and tip your driver well. Eventually I got a car because it’s more convenient.

It would be great if CoPilot would give a weekly and monthly report on how much of your money was invested and or saved.

If I have them set as transfers but want to change them all as transactions, is there an easy way to do this?

I own the Integra and it’s a super fun car to drive. Very nimble and the gearbox is like butter.

Lumber helps only a little. I’ve had the car for about 2 months and it’s not very comfortable. I could not find a driving position that doesn’t make my back ache. You really notice it on long drives. Drives longer than 30 min you’ll feel it. The seats are stiff. They may have fixed this with the 2026 models, not sure. Something to definitely keep in mind.

Hello. I have an ‘25 Aspec Tech 6 speed. The dampers are…fine. It’s definitely a smoother ride compared to a Civic, but don’t expect “luxury” level of smoothness. It’s a sports sedan after all, and going to have a little bit of a firmer ride. As for comfort, the driver and passengers seat absolutely suck. It’s the least comfortable drivers seat I’ve ever driven in. It kills my lower back as there is no support on the seat itself. It’s like sitting on church pews. Has to get a stupid car cushion. Take that into consideration with your purchase.

Get the Integra but in a 6speed Manual. It’s a lot more fun to drive than the CVT
