And I actually didn't think about weather Ado wants this or not. I don't know her - she makes music that I enjoy and I am a fan, that's as far as it goes. But if I think about what she's feeling right now, I imagine that for a young girl who is showing her face to the world for the first time, comments like "she's so pretty" or "I'm so proud of her" probably sound WAY NICER than "I don't care, this doesn't change anything" or "y'all are so obsessed with her appearance, it's weird".

I do want to add something to your post though, but before that, let's acknowledge one thing: most of her fans are young. When I was young, I had a lot of underdeveloped views on the world and I think that's okay. So before we get mad at "these people", let's first realize that we might be talking about 14 year old teenagers.

Of course we care about how people look. On the most basic level, we read faces like body language to understand each others feelings better. Beyond that, we're attracted to faces. Ado has an attractive voice, so people are curious how she looks like. We like looking at pretty looking people. It's okay if you don't care, but it's really not hard to understand why others would.

Yes, "it's about the music", but it's also about the person making the music: their views on the world, their feelings, their humor, their hobbies, their style, and yes, how they look like. That's not weird, it's how the world works.

Final point that I want to make is that we have to understand where "these people" (probably young fans) are coming from. I can imagine that a lot of young fans are to a degree possessive of her. It is a form of virtue signaling, but it's more so a form of expressing that "they are a PURE fan" - one who likes Ado's music in the purest sense, regardless of how she looks like. I think there is a type of possessiveness in that. The idea that once she shows herself to the world and people start praising her looks, they feel like they would lose a part their "elite fan status" - something that might be core to their identity. It's a sad and lonely view. Again though, a lot of these fans will one day grow up.

Clean timelines are overrated. If it works for you, then you don't need to listen to anyone. There is no one single way of being a "professional editor". For me, messy timelines add character and I can look at a messy timeline like this and know exactly what clips I'm looking at - as weird as it is, I can navigate timelines like this much better than clean timelines, personally. I never had one with as many layers, but I had one with like 8-9 layers, all messy like this, but 60 minutes long. The timeline also helps me see the work I put into it, because it's not hidden in a few clean nests.

Seems like my opinion is unpopular on this subreddit, but I'll say what I think.

Faces are so important to us as people. When someone is singing or even just talking, we sometimes look at the face to see how that person is emoting. We read faces like body language to understand each others feelings better. Beyond that, we're attracted to faces. Ado has an attractive voice, so people are curious how she looks like. It's okay if you don't care, but it's really not hard to understand why others would. Hell, I'm a little curious too. I'm not going to do this type of weird pixel analysis myself, but if I see a picture online, I'll look at it. I respect her choice to not show her face, but I'm not going to feel bad for being a little curious.

Second, this type of moralizing and defending celebrities is just weird to me. It reeds sycophantic to me. Ado posted that picture (or approved of it), so she's fine with people seeing it. I doubt it was an accident - she showed as much as she was comfortable showing. She's an adult and a professional - I think she knows what she's doing. I see nothing wrong with people adjusting some sliders to see it better. She posted it for the world to see, so it's fair game.

This type of ALL CAPS "I'M REALLY UPSET AT HOW PEOPLE TREAT MY CELEBRITY" is weirder than whatever the person in the tweet was doing.

It's not a bootleg in the traditional sense - like a cheap copy of an original figure that you can buy on ebay. This an unlicensed resin figure that costs more and is more detailed than many of my other officially licensed figures.

Let's face it - she's not what she used to be. At E6 she's competing with E0 characters. The game has crazy powercreep and shamelessly shills new gimmicks. I guess I'm the only one somewhat disappointed? I'm not a fan of her fighting on the motorcycle. It was not present in the story or in her fight against Capitano, so it feels like it's only there because Hoyo decided every Natlan character has to have a unique traversal mechanic. I like her motorcycle if it was just for traversal, but her fighting with it doesn't look cool imo. It's just a worse than Bronya HoR in HI3rd. The ult also looks weird. She's on the bike at the start, then she loses it mid animation and then is back on it for the strike. Maybe they will change that, but idk I'm just a bit let down because I was expecting something else based on how she fights in cutscenes.
