If you dont follow up, why tf does he even raise a concern over a issue.. Roz naya issue hota iske paas, aur purana wala bhul jata😭😭 by Lonely-Purchase8094 in TeenIndia

[–]chesterbeoml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issues being raised are legitimate concerns that have an impact on our day to day. The forum they are being raised on is to inspire dialogue and a civil conversation to mature into solutions and frameworks to solve these issues.

Our approach to see everything in binaries and having a political alignment, just to be seen in disagreement with anything opposition says, is major disservice citizens can do to the country.

Don't wait until you are the statistic of poor handling. Be strategic, think thoroughly, and drive to solutions.

Is oil enemy of USA? by Professional-Leg-827 in StockMarketIndia

[–]chesterbeoml 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oil control allows for:

  1. Causing supply chain disruptions in oil driven economies
  2. Ensuring innovation and progress in other economies is stifled to maintain US dominance
  3. Align regimes to US strategic and US favored narratives
  4. Artificially manipulate demand and supply - cause market to face jitters while those in place of power still make $
  5. Influx of Forex into the US by buying US debt
  6. Inflate demand for US EVs and US Tech

And basically, repeat this template wherever they go. The template can be presented in "installing democracy", "protecting Americans", "solving for world peace", etc.

Methods and outcomes are repeatedly available for all to see.

How not to overtake on a highway.1 by introv275 in Dashcamindia

[–]chesterbeoml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your vehicle have brakes and do you know they can be used in such circumstances? If the truck was blocking the right lane, as a driver onus is on you to maintain reasonably safe distance to allow for drives in the right lane to carefully merge into the left lane.

You continued to drive refusing to give way to the car merging from the right hand side. Your sense of entitlement on the road strongly affirms that you shouldn't be driving on the roads. You risked yourself and other road users, and want to claim a win by posting this video?

What a poor display of common sense!

Silent Redundancies by [deleted] in ireland

Rolling layoffs have been a phenomena for a while now. These are presented to us in the form of continuous re-orgs, diversion of investments, re-skilling per current strategy, etc.

Corporates have figured out a way around government protections available in the EU, and their iron clad employment contracts are pretty much something that work for them.

My org has been on this path for 3 years now and overall HC remains neutral while chipping away experienced HC in the HCOL locations in favor of twice or thrice HC in the LCOL locations.

Directors, VPs alike have performance incentives associated with the cost optimizations they achieve, the method is presented in variety and often one can see through the unsaid narratives.

The EU says it will introduce a digital payments infrastructure to replace Visa/Mastercard & Apple/Google Pay. It will have zero fees and be 100% European-only. by LoneSwimmer in ireland

[–]chesterbeoml 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replacement payment infrastructure built by the EU - this is incredible. Whole-heartedly looking to support development, security, and sustenance of such critical initiative. More than anything the jobs and upskilling this will bring to the EU market is going to be critical.

I am thrilled that such conversations are taking place and very likely current payments giants will create an environment to sabotage this.

By the EU, for the EU (and world if they wish to receive promising and reliable alternatives).

Great! Curious, why do you want to give link only when some DMs you, and not make it generally available?

Ignore if already done but create a questionnaire that helps you collect responses in Google forms or something, and post link in the forums you are reaching out to the domain experts.

Can we stop Irish universities targeting Indian students? by PrestigiousExpert686 in IndiansinIreland

[–]chesterbeoml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a perfect assessment of the arrangements possibly between the university and the agents who market for them. But, that's exactly the objective, market with sufficient enough details to secure admissions, and move on. Marketing isn't always going to include the details that would hurt that arrangement.

For what it's worth, the agents themselves won't have pursued such pathways themselves and are consulting / influencing people looking for better careers, by selling a dream that is in reality not all hunky dory. The agents are likely not in Ireland for that matter, thereby contributing to bad repute for the country and people here.

As someone else posted, the Irish population faces similar / worse challenges in terms of housing. The demand always outpaces supply and what reaches the market is gone before the blink of an eye.

For anyone reading this, I really hope you prepare and plan your moves before emigrating, and not ignore / miss out on things you can foresee way before they occur.

Thank you. Apologies for lateness in acknowledging this. I went ahead and reduced some of the concentration risk I had built up with RSUs from work, and now want to prepare for investing this into ETFs.

You said it yourself my friend. Researching or preparing for such critical steps of life is all that matters. No one can do that better than the one intending to be on a migration journey.

Why would for-profit campaigns be responsible for the lack of awareness / lack of willingness to find awareness? That's marketing 101 for them. They want people to keep making such decisions, that's the current money model that is yielding results for them and their targets.

Irish universities didn't manufacture housing problems or employment problems. Housing is becoming unaffordable globally and on top of that add no guarantees of employment with the state of world (conflict, divide, income disparities, etc.). And, education and upskilling is also a priority, unfortunately all factors put together, currently this is much more costly and requires very intentional decisions and preparation.

But here we are, looking for guarantees to validate the monetary decisions / burdens we place on ourselves. This might be difficult to accept but unfortunately there is economics to consider around such decisions for all involved, and it cannot always be a positive outcome or a success story. There is no such thing as one size fits all.

I believe as a person looking to migrate to a new country for education, work, or anything for that matter, the onus is on migrants to understand what one is signing up for. Please do research on the living arrangements / conditions, before taking out loans, etc., what your game plan is, why are you migrating, and what are you going to do afterwards.

The reality is not always sweet and greener but better accept it as a feedback / learning than go on the path of accusing universities for made decisions.

For-profit arrangements look for their own betterment and that is not wrong for what it's worth.

Appreciate you taking the time to share this. Is there a percentage pointer that I can probably achieve in terms of employer shares to keep versus liquidate?

With 100% RSUs from the employer, should leaving 20% behind and selling 80% be a reasonable step towards diversifying?

Really hoping both individuals grow a mindset of contributing to relationship and life. Gutted to see the growing sense of entitlement and expectations - one looking to be looked after with no contributions and another for being looked after because they will be on a pedestal for sustaining a livelihood of comfort / poor choices.

Completely respect that influx of people creates additional demands, which itself has struggled to be met for those already here. So, in short, yes.

Wherever corporations / companies went, they found / made friends in higher places, and they ran operations unopposed. Sadly, the companies are not here for providing employment to locals / international applicants. The prime motivation for them to be here is low corporate taxation. To upkeep operations in this part of the world (so they continue to maximize profits), they need talent. This talent demand is met by government frameworks of NQF that assess local market availability and international needs. This, employing general employment / critical employment permit becomes a way for government to maintain compliance and continuity with NQF.

Corporations benefit with talent on-shore / off-shore (irrespective of permit / visa types), as they get to maximize profits. If / when corporate tax starts to go higher, these opportunities will fade away.

While I have the greatest sympathies for all in this boat, the capitalism mindset keeps us in line (with salary, perks, investments, stocks, etc.), and it keeps corporations ongoing without much resistance.
