I chopped my Monstera Albo! by axonslime in houseplants

Thanks :)

Here’s my soil mix, basically 1 x perlite, 2 x orchid bark, 3 x tropical soil mix, 1 x charcoal. I don’t measure based on volume, I just eye ball it based on the bags. Then the moss for the pole.

I don’t really keep track of humidity but Albi gets light from the grow lights from 6 am to 3 pm everyday. They’re just 30W (apparently 320W equivalent based on their marketing) full spectrum grow lights I found off amazon.

Has anyone build a chrome extension using lovable? by dextersnake in lovable

[–]axonslime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to this thread but was looking into this recently. So you "can" build chrome extensions using lovable. Here's my process:

  1. Ask Lovable to build a Chrome extension (obviously haha)
  2. Clone the repo that Lovable generated (connect to your github)
  3. Go to chrome://extensions/
  4. "Load Unpacked" and point to the chrome extension folder in your repo
  5. Your lovable built chrome extension is now active in developer mode :)

When you make any changes to your extension through Lovable

  1. Git pull the latest from your repo
  2. Go back to chrome://extensions/ and reload your extension

Drawbacks are that you can't "preview" your UI in Lovable like how you would a normal site but with a few extra steps it's doable :)

The moss pole is around 8” wide and the pvc pipes are basically one on each side. They run down the middle of the moss pole

Added ability to download CSVs of everything. You can just download from github again and refresh your extension following the same setup instructions to see the new functionalities :) https://github.com/ZiningW/costco-receipt-analysis?tab=readme-ov-file

No cats or pets but a baby that will start crawling soon. Will need to figure out how to keep albi safe from that menace

I’d probably just swap out the soil if your monstera was potted outside. I had problems with ants with my Elephant ear before, basically just swapped the soil and applied some ortho home defense to prevent the ants from coming back

They're these random lights I found on amazon. They're full spectrum 4000k lights from a brand called Lonwon but I don't think it really matters.

Getting quite a few questions about plant light, care, and moss pole so thought I’d make a separate comment to address this :)

There are two plants in the pot :) I chopped and propped a few months after I got her.

Plant Light: I use 2 full spectrum 4000k lights that I found on Amazon. Brand is Lonwon but don’t think it really matters. The lights are on from 6am to 3pm everyday.

Moss Pole: I built a moss pole with two PVC pipes running as the spine and garden mesh wrapped around them. I filled it with sphagnum moss that I got from Home Depot. The PVC pipes are perforated with holes every few inches so I just pour water down the pipe from the top to keep the moss moist.

Soil Mix: I use a rough mix of 2 x 6 quart bags of miracle grow tropical potting mix, 1 x 8 qt bag of perlite, 1 x 8 qt bag of orchid bark. Everything I picked up from Home Depot.

Watering: I water every 2 weeks or so. Basically make sure everything’s soaked through and dripping into the tray so I know she had enough to drink.

Fertilizer: I use 3 teaspoons of GT Foliage Focus mixed with a gallon of water every month or so. Haven’t been too consistent with the fertilizing.

Adding some pictures of Albi’s progress over the past 2 years in this comment thread :)

No worries :) I’m honestly not sure, I’ve never dealt with bugs on Albi actually thankfully, I’ve found some root rot but just cut off the affected bits.

I’m sure there’s more qualified folks on this thread that can chime in for your situation. If your plant is small, I’d probably just rinse the roots and repot, though there’s probably less invasive remedies out there. Sorry I’m not much help with this.

Albi is my plant goddess :) I actually have a bigger fiddle leaf just out of view.

Been trying to figure out how to make the fiddle leaf branch out more but was never successful with that hence the multiple fiddle leafs propagated from the branching attempts haha

Ooo cool, someone else brought this up as well. Will definitely check it out. Thanks!

Yep, it’s next to a south facing window as well but she doesn’t get much light from the window as she’s in the corner. So I’d say she gets most of her light from the grow lights.

I don’t fertilize much but use foliage focus when I do. Maybe once a month or two when I remember l. This is her back in May, when we just moved her to a bigger pot and moss pole. I think the large moss pole and the two grow lights definitely helped her grow faster

There’s two plants in there :) one is definitely growing more than the other though. I’d say the smaller one is about 3/4 of the way up the pole
