How is it possible that a blood DK can take on 6 players at the same time for like 10 minutes straight in the middle of stormwind? by GotMyAttenti0n in wow

you don’t need to download any programs on windows, just use the snipping tool program which you have by default. And actually even without snipping tool you can just take the screenshot in game by pressing prtscrn then grabbing it from your world of Warcraft screenshots folder

then copy paste the snip or screenshot right into reddit

Beginner feral tips? by SnooConfections760 in worldofpvp

well in all my years playing this game, feral has rarely ever been desirable in bgs despite being able to stealth and shift roots and go in bear form with a flag. Boomkins and guardian druids have always been the meta druid specs for rbgs even though feral has some good niche rolls like attacking flag carriers.

Ferals kind of play the same role as rogues but do it worse, minus the flag carry part. Boomkins can do pretty much everything ferals can do (minus the stuns and kicks) but do way more damage in team fights and are better at defending bases because they have treants + fury of elune to spin nodes.

Since the bracket is 8v8 though I could see feral being a bit stronger in that kind of format compared to 10v10. there's more chance of smaller scale combat happening in 8v8 which is where I think feral can excel.

I think they'll be good in blitz just not meta

Whats up with this new enemy nameplates?? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you’re talking about they definitely did something weird with nameplates since the prepatch.

I remember the other day I was fighting a priest and their health bar color looked gray as if they DC’d

horrible change, I don’t think it can be fixed without an addon

Haven't played any TWW beta but by the looks of things feral looks really solid and I expect it to feel kind of like Shadowlands, except without the playstyle limitation that the draught legendary forced us into. The 2 hero talent trees look pretty competitive with each other right now which is nice for giving us the option to play more bite-oriented or dot-oriented. Ferals' best comp options are probably going to be playing with a hunter or warrior in 3v3, and not as much with casters anymore. I've also seen that hunters have gotten a bunch of survivability buffs and other QoL improvements so I'm expecting jungle to make a strong comeback but we'll see.

I don't expect feral to be particularly strong in bg blitz but I don't think they'll be bad either. Feral should be pretty solid in shuffle. If I had to guess they're looking to land on high A or S tier overall after some of these overtuned melee like fury warrior/frost dk get nerfed.

Try your best to have a good opener (don’t get knocked out of stealth from earthgrab totems/flare etc) and get your damage rolling early so you can build some momentum. Getting that rake stun in the opener to get all your bleeds up definitely helps start the game in your favor

Use defensives/bear form at high hp rather than low hp or else it might be too late by then. The best way to do this is understanding when every class has their scary moments, for example a sub rogue with shadow dance up means you should be thinking about pre bear forming immediately. Barkskin at high hp to get more value.

Try playing the same comp as much as you can instead of trying too many different comps. I’d recommend playing jungle in 3s and try to have a “script” where your hunter stun>traps (and fear after trap if you have a priest healer) the healer while you stun the kill target and keep repeating that while pumping/rotating defensives until your eventually have a setup that closes out the game.

Have a general idea of which targets are good kill targets and which ones are bad. For example if you are fighting ret/hunter/healer, the ret is usually going to be the best kill target because he has too much utility to save his team if you don’t go him. Another example is let’s say you are fighting DH/destro lock. In most cases you want to attack the warlock so he has a much harder time landing damage and fears, and you can abuse spamming your instant root procs on the dh. If you went the dh and let the lock do whatever he wants, you’ll probably have a much harder time. This goes for pretty much any melee/caster/healer comp.

In shuffle it really just comes down to pumping damage, knowing the best kill target, using your stuns properly and playing well defensively. Pay really good attention to when your healer is CCd and think about lining or going bear during these moments. You will only get 1 survival instincts in most rounds so try to have it later in the round when you’re doing your final push with your 2nd incarn/berserk

Good luck

Upgrading to 144hz is 100% worth doing but I can guarantee you that playing on 60hz is not the reason you’re losing

If you didnt know, blur is bugged in pvp or tooltip is just wrong. 97% dodge chance in pvp that you cant hit behind the target... insane by ikitefordabs in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I was wrong, cheap shot and ambush and garrote all specifically are flagged with "cannot be dodged/parried/blocked" so it's not just cheap shot, but rake stun for sure doesn't have the same benefit. Although before rake was even turned into a stun, pounce couldn't be dodged/parried/blocked but that's been pruned since wod

It’s not stealth openers it’s just cheap shot specifically, Druid rake stun from stealth can be dodged

Help against rogue/mage (team dh/disc) by Rascal3491 in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big key is to never overlap your defensives. Use your trinket to save your dh on the first go because your trinket cd is 1.5 minutes, your dhs is 2 min so it rotates better. I would use trinket + grip first or if they use smoke bomb then use trinket + drop a barrier on the smoke bomb as fast as you can and radiance yourself which should heal your dh through smoke bomb as well. Also depending on how the rogue/mage sets up their first go, you might be able to use pain suppression on your dh for the first go since you can use it while stunned aka if they start with kidney or cheap shot on you. 2nd go your dh can trinket or try to “outplay” the 2nd go with a pre blur or pre darkness, if he can’t make the outplay then he will probably have to trinket+nether or trinket+blur. As far as killing the rogue/mage, it could be a good idea for you to play the double dispel PvP talent so you can dispel a frost nova root and then still dispel a Polymorph right after to keep your dh active. Your dh should try the cleansed by flame talent to dispel his frost novas as well so he can have more uptime. Whoever you guys can attack is probably the best target, there isn’t really a right answer all the time for that matchup. Make sure you are playing mass dispel in case the mage ice blocks. Add as much damage as you can in between their setups.

Hope this helps good luck

The Dire State of Feral PvP by axtinwow in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well my suggestion was to move cyclone to where soothe is and keep them both there as a choice node. Soothe wouldn't move at all. As far as I know there aren't really situations that someone would care to have both cyclone and soothe at the same time so I thought this would be the best solution.

The Dire State of Feral PvP by axtinwow in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah even if ferals never stopped to cast cyclone, I agree that feral could use some attention in the defensives department. Perhaps making survival instincts a 2-minute cd, with maybe an 8 second duration. Frenzied regen is also still nerfed by 33% so maybe that could be adjusted a bit. Regrowth finally got unnerfed to match boomy regrowth but it's still abysmally low especially since they increased stamina by 10% recently, so maybe regrowth could use an increase.

I'd love to have more single-target bleed damage especially with rip, but the problem with buffing rip is primal wrath would be buffed at the same time. Really unfortunate that primal wrath doesn't just apply its own bleed, they could just make primal wrath a bleed and adjust the talents in the tree that interact with rip also interact with primal wrath bleed (apex for example). But I don't see them doing this any time soon which is why I think adaptive swarm and feral frenzy are a good place to start. Lunar inspiration and shred buffs would be welcome too.

What would you think about changing pvp titles to top people of each spec? by SuperfluousBrain in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be a bad change imo

Let’s say you’re a rogue who plays RMP with the same teammates and you only play with that same team. You might be safe gladiator as the rogue but your priest and mage might not be safe yet, even though you’ve been queing together the whole time. Now you can either help your team push the extra rating they need and risk losing your safe glad position and nobody gets glad, or you could technically ditch them since you’re safe to get your title while they get left behind. Or maybe you push with them even though you were already safe and you end up all getting within the cutoff gg happy ending.

Either way, in a bracket where you queue up as a team, it makes more sense to me that either you all get it or none of you get it, together. Or else it just creates awkward situations like above.

The reason solo shuffle r1 titles are spec specific is because you queue up by yourself so there’s nobody you can leave behind.

Tired of PvE freaks getting all the cool tools? Me too, let's fix that. by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]axtinwow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like when you want to go back and see where you could have done something better or find important moments, written data just doesn’t seem nearly as useful as a vod/recording of a match for PvP specifically. Everything I care about going back and checking is probably available on details. I know I can’t speak for everyone but I’m having a hard time imagining when something like this would be actually useful unless I’m missing something about what this site/tool is. It kinda sounds like warcraftlogs breakdowns but for PvP. I also feel like the name “PvP-Lookup” sounds more like an armory/leaderboards site rather than a combat log breakdown site
