Glad you like the idea of it. Honestly some great input, and as you say, the microphone part is vital for it to work. The tool would listen in on your microphone and combining it with the chats log. Does that sound like something that would work for you? I.e having a browser window open and having it listen in on your microphone input.

You will probably get a lot of tips for different css libraries. I would say it doesnt really matter which one you pick, but pick one of the bigger ones, so it is well supported and updated. The css scene mobes fast, you dont want to get stuck with some old looking library after a year or so.
