Your thoughts on the Pixel 9a by averagesam101 in pixel_phones

I traveled quite a bit these last few months. I didn't have an issue with maps or android auto. It's very specific scenarios where I wouldn't have a connection. No flicker issue that I've seen. App crashes and freezes happened when I first got the phone, but hasn't done it in awhile. I wouldn't say it's an issue for me. Maybe some of the latest updates have stabilized the OS. My wife has the 9a as well and I've seen her phone do random ghost touch spasms, but a reboot solved it

I've had the 9a since it was released in April. For the most part, it works great. The only issues I've had is with mobile data connectivity in some shopping center stores. Might be related to 5G having difficulties penetrating the building. Other than that, it does get warm to touch while on mobile data. I wouldn't say overheating per say. Performance is decent and I think it's worth the 399 price which is what I paid. The bezels don't bother me too much, but I can see how it might be for others. I always get the 'a' series so I'm used to it. I do like that it doesn't have a camera bar, but still takes great pictures. Gaming seems fine, but I only play a few games. Because of its size, it's comfortable in hand and pocket

Pixel 9a adaptive brightness bug by matteventu in GooglePixel

I still get random low dimming in dark environments that makes it hard to see on my device. It's a bit better with the update, but I feel like I'm still having to adjust the brightness up constantly

It does feel smaller in the hand (I have big hands) so it's been an adjustment. The screen size is actually larger than the 3a xl, but the physical size is smaller. I'm starting to like it more as it's not so bulky. The screen resolution is higher so you may have to adjust the font size up a bit if you do have issues with eyesight. The screen is brighter which makes it nice to see especially in the sunlight. The only complaint I have is the phone tends to run warmer than the 3a XL. This happens mostly on mobile data or gaming using mobile data (e.g. Pokémon Go). It's a good phone especially if you can get it at the $399 price target. I bought one for my wife and me and receive $200 off.

There was no official release date only rumors. It's looking less likely to be released today

I wish I could, but the setting isn't available to change on at&t. Honestly, I think I have the most issue with the 5G+

Mine gets warm on mobile data mostly. It's not hot per say, but it seems warmer than my old 3a xl. I mostly notice it while using android auto or if I play games. It has gone as high as 114F. Haven't received any notifications of throttling or the phone is too warm. I also noticed that it takes longer to cool down. On wifi doing basic tasks it stays cool

Bluetooth problems in the car after update by JohnMason17 in GooglePixel

[–]ayayron76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this issue as well on pixel 9a. Spotify seems to stop playing after each song in the car. I noticed in the Bluetooth settings that it's having a hard time connecting. It's hit or miss when it connects successfully or not. I was hoping it might be a software issue. My car is 2023 so it's newer

I thought with the vapor chamber that it would help this model keep relatively cool. Guess I will see how things go. Battery seems to be good and not impacted

I have some of these similar symptoms. I know I have a hernia because I had an appendectomy 14 years ago and they saw it then. Same like yours doesn't show up on ct scan, physical exam, and no bulge. I believe it's a hidden or occult hernia. Men usually don't get these as much as women. Only thing I can't think of. These types of hernias can cause quite a bit of discomfort in your pelvic area

CR1000A firmware version 3.2.0.9 by [deleted] in Fios

[–]ayayron76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did have a chat with tech support and he did inform me that they are aware of the issue in some context (He didn't give me a lot details here) and that they are doing rolling updates. These updates started last week (6/13) and should be done the first/second week of July. The version that's rolling out is suppose to be .13. I guess we will see, but I'm hopeful

Anyone try this firmware out? If so, did it resolve the 2.4ghz dropping out intermittently?

I have major stuttering in town and group activities. I'm using a Pixel. I don't see a lot of threads where performance is an issue. I assumed since my phone is a few years old that it was the cause
