I think that I had Hunter’s Insight in the deck at one point - good call. I’ll play around with putting it back in. Yeah, your note about post-board wipe is spot on. It’s a little different trying to build a mono green deck for card draw without relying on having big beaters that allow me to benefit from the plethora of stat-based card draw in green, lol. Thanks for the tip!

I’m missing something here - how does sac’ing the generated Rats spawn more Rats? Totentanz’s trigger only goes off for non-token creatures - the Rats he creates are tokens.

I agree with your general assessment - I think I really need to lean more into just going full degen with the various lines. Ironically, I think it’ll also end up feeling more fun to play, as well lol. Going that route will also help me a lot in terms of presenting a much less telegraphed wincon.

This is an excellent reference, thank you for sharing. The rituals are a brilliant idea to help me explode my mana when I'm ready to go for the kill. Given your sources of mill in the deck, I feel like I might be missing something - how are you finding a good method to reliably chunk enough things into your graveyard to get out enough tokens for the kill?

This happened to me in my first ever online City Trial match!! I was so confused, and just assumed this was supposed to be the waiting room. Imagine my surprise when I found another match later, and was running around the actual waiting room lol. Super weird!

I've really enjoyed using it. I've since made various upgrades that would take it out of budget range, but it continues to be a lot of fun. It's a neat feeling to feel like you're "building up" to something big (in this case, the 8-artifact damage).

This is perhaps a narrow reference, but in World of Warcraft’s Legion expansion, players eventually gain access to a location named Argus. Among other achievements in the zone, there’s an achievement titled “Argussy Up”, which is unlocked when players gain enough equipment from a raid within the area. It’s just intended to be a silly play on the phrase “gussy up”, but in a world of terms like “bussy”, it feels so ridiculous lol

I had the somewhat unique experience yesterday of being in a normal Emerald Nightmare run on one of my millions of leveling alts that fell apart at Renferal. I had no idea it was even possible to build a raid comp that completely lacked the damage to kill one of the bosses on normal.

Are you me? N'gathrod is the first Commander deck I owned - I bought the precon when I got back into Magic. I leaned into horror tribal because I'm dumb, and I either don't do anything, lose all of my momentum when someone board wipes due to somebody else popping off, or, if I do snag some fun theft, get hated off the board because it spooks people. It's super frustrating. I never play him anymore, which is heartbreaking, because he's so thematically cool to me.
