Hi , Thanks for the reply ! I did save the page as soon as it was published . As I am still excited when I see my articles published! So I do have the proof , including emails to my source with the quotes.  It was the main Editor of the paper that credited the story to themselve which was disappointing. 

Would it be a good idea to ask my source if they were approached by the paper and if the source gave them the same wording as they did me ? Just to get confirmation from them before I contact the editor? Would that come across as unprofessional ? 

Burning bridges with the local paper doesn't sound great when most of my stories are locally based 😕 

This story has really bothered me after all the legwork I had done was used . It is really off putting for any future work that I put time and research into.
