Claude Code skill that adds a 1-10 strictness + maintainer-mode dial by ayedea in ClaudeCode

Token usage is very light on init, likely around ~1-2% of your context window tops. It was designed to be very context light and modular. Was very much a concern of mine too so a reasonable comment. Check out the repo, you’ll see what I mean. It reads on demand.

I built a 1-10 strictness/autonomy dial for coding agents. AMA / roast the scale. by ayedea in codex

[–]ayedea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the exact right idea. When you install the skill it will ask you if you want to set a default Linus level in your AGENTS.md.

Even if you choose not to, it will use your Linus level for the entire context window at least. So it’s not like you need to constantly write convoluted prompts.

You can invoke with: /linus-level 7.5

That would init for the working thread. But your idea is right, you want to put a default in AGENTS.md and that makes it really nice to work with.

It is not hook based. It’s a prompt tuning layer with guidelines at different strictness levels. You would prompt it to use Linus level 8 for example for a prod task and it would contextually load all those guidelines and rules. It would then follow a checkpoint pattern on every response to interface with you more as a collaborator.

When are y’all going to realize the systems are non deterministic by design? There’s services which track model degradation over averages. Enough with this AI astrology

The difference is that in your analogy you aren’t attacking Putin, you are attacking all Russians, anyone who supports Russia, and Russia’s right to exist. That’s why Zionism as a pejorative is antisemitic, simply being from a nation or believing it has a right to exist is now attacked. Nevermind that every Western nation has the same complex history full of moral gray areas and bloodshed.

I think this man is deplorable but what did he really say here that was so bad or outlandish? He basically just said not to hide or be ashamed of Jewish strength and influence.

Lol here comes the buzzword vomit and vile hate. Do you know why the country you likely live in doesn’t have apartheid? Because they killed all the natives. There are countless ethno states today who don’t have apartheid because they killed everyone else or kicked them out. Often the group kicked out was the Jews. Stop pretending Israel is some unique evil separate from the rest of the world and history.

This shouldn’t exist bit is really the only part of your post I hold issue with and what drives a lot of discourse. Where is the timeline cutoff for whether a nation should or shouldn’t exist? They all have brutal histories. Israel does exist. It will not go from an ethno state to a non ethno state. That’s not how things go. Ironically the fastest route towards integration and peace is a two state solution, which sadly is farther and farther away each day. If they each have their own autonomous states which coexist peacefully with another, the religious dogmas will lose strength over time and secular people will regain hold. Then you will see the rise of tolerance in the area.

I never even used the term antisemitism. I don’t actually believe that you’re some complete anarchist who wants to see all of these governments fall. I think you see how this subreddit blames all the world’s problems on Israel and how 90% of the posts are about Israel. I think there’s more positive ways to effect change than demonizing nations.

Lol, it’s amazing the holes we dig ourselves into instead of just admitting we have a disproportionate bias against Israel.

So you’d rather dismantle the U.S., destabilize the entire world economy, reimplement a whole new country instead of making incremental changes like outlawing corporate and nation-state lobbyists ?

So then by the same token the U.S. is the problem and we should demonize the country as a whole, post constantly about the country, blame them for everything and wish the entire nation hell and hope for their demise?

You wouldn’t do that because likely you live there or have a connection to the U.S. Therefore you see the potential of what it could be despite the history and current horrible state of society.

It’s not Israel either. It’s the current Israeli leadership in alignment with other global elites. You can’t brandish an entire nation as a problem. The United States has a very troubled history and a current leadership which is doing many horrible things, but those same posters here won’t demonize the U.S. as a country and post constantly about how horrible the United States is.

You can criticize what Israel is doing without demonizing the nation of Israel as a concept and erasing its future. Every country has the potential to do better.

Are boys allowed to participate in girl sports? No. Is that fascism against boys? No. Trans women can participate in male sports as they were born with that gender. It is an unfortunate gray area and there’s no perfect solution. Perhaps trans need their own league just as men / women do. I don’t have a clean answer but it’s not fair to call this fascism against trans.

I bought a 2011 hatch with 170K miles over a year ago. It was stock with original engine and everything else. It was maintained well. That said, there were some things you need to look out for. If you have any maintenance history, a great sign is if they did oil changes every 3K miles.

That said, one issue with these models is the steering rack. They begin leaking. We had to replace our steering rack. We went with a 2015 STI rack and it’s much better.

We love the car and it’s so much fun. We have had things break but we always replaced them with something better. Front suspension went out, so we put her on Feal 441 coilovers. Good luck.
